and I am in love!
It did an awesome job on Cassie, I got a handful of hair off of her and she loved it. She has never let me brush her before, but she walked away and came back for more.
I found out about it from this site. I'm so happy I found this site.

That is wonderful. I'm actually able to get Lucy to sit still for a brush with the Zoom Groom. Biggest problem I have is that she will start rolling around on the carpet and leaving excess hair in the carpet.

I bought one yrs ago for my dog & never used it & of course I now can't find it. Has anyone used one on a long-haired cat? Does it work on a long-haired cat? Blossom won't let me brush her & she's semi-long haired. Whenever I've found a mat I've cut it out.

Glad it is working for you! That's awesome. It never worked well on my cats but then again they do have thick, dense coats. I know A lot of people really like them.

i agree...the zoom groom is worth it's money!

ruby (my black and white) has a nice, thick coat, with the white hairs being longer than the black. she's a skittish girl, although she's gotten a LOT better in the past several months. and as skittish as she is, she will let me zoom her for 15-20 minutes without trying to leave! i think she just loves the feel of the zoom groom.

Glad you're enjoying the ZoomGroom. Ours love it, too. There's always enough cat hair in the wastebasket to knit a few kittens -- most of it in the ZoomGroom pattern.

My girl LOVES the zoom groom. We can just ask her if she wants her Purple Brush and she'll start screaming and running for the drawer. She normally isn't very affectionate and doesn't hold still, but she'll do anything for her purple brush.

My only "concern" is.... Is it removing TOO much fur? I mean, is it stirring up fur that shouldn't be going? She's a short haired cat, but it seems like no matter how long I brush her, there's still more and more fur coming. I'll usually smooth her down with my hands when I'm done and then roll a sticky lint roller over her to pick up the remaining hair.

What do you guys think? How much brushing is too much?

My short hair loves zoom groom and so do I.
I usually keep a wet paper towel close and
once I am done with it and my hand
getting loose off I go over her with paper towel.
Of course, she loves any kind of brushing!!
I dont know you can over brush a cat.
I think you can do it once a day without
any problems.

Swanie LOVES the zoom groom. Every morning he gets up on the counter and waits for his brushing. As soon as he sees it, he starts purring. It does get a lot of hair, but it spreads the hair around everywhere, which is the only downside I can see. Cindy doesn't like it.

I just got one this weekend and it works great on long-hairs if they will set still. I love the brush, but Sassy is not too fond of it. (That is with any brush). She bites, hard and draws blood, but I just keep on trying!! I have tried everything. But, she continually bites, maybe just maybe, one day she will enjoy it. (haha)
