Yes, and when you do it this way, the card in the reader is just another drive as far as the computer is concerned, so you transfer pics to and from the computer just like you move any other files around on the computer -- and it's MUCH faster than using the cable, as well as requiring no power for the camera, thus conserving battery life.Originally Posted by Bonnie1965
You can also buy a card reader that connects to your USB port to transfer photos from the card to your computer. That's what I do. The reader was about $15 at Walmart.
