BUT - it's sis's old one and she can't find the cord so I can load pics to the computer.
So you'll have to wait until she can get it to me.

Still - that is one step further then before. You can always take the camera into Walmart and get the prints right from the card onto a disk, then you can get them from the disk to the computer!

& its pretty cheap too! I think the CDs are like $2.00 or something with the pics on them

Does your computer have a spot where you can put the memory card in? I know that mine does- and thank goodness because I have NO idea where the cord is!

We have a "docking station" permanently attached to our computer so I just put the camera on that, press a button and presto - pics transfer to the computer!

You should see if you can get a docking station - they are awesome!

You can also buy a card reader that connects to your USB port to transfer photos from the card to your computer. That's what I do. The reader was about $15 at Walmart.

Yes, and when you do it this way, the card in the reader is just another drive as far as the computer is concerned, so you transfer pics to and from the computer just like you move any other files around on the computer -- and it's MUCH faster than using the cable, as well as requiring no power for the camera, thus conserving battery life.

Congratulations on your new acquisition! Now you'll need to keep us fed, of course, and you know our appetite for pics!
