Hello all,
I have a 3 year old male tux cat. About a year ago he started to have anger problems. Sometimes he would fly into a rage hissing, spitting and clawing anyone that would come near him, even people he knew all his life, with no discernable cause. It became so bad I had to put him on prozac since nothing else would work.
Now he tolerates other people again but I noticed some things still manage to enrage him, even while under prozac. I found out that certain sounds like a that of a crackling speaker or some cellphone ringtunes may be a cause.
Strange enough while he's angry he still follows me around and seems to want attention. Even though he growls and attacks if i come near him too fast.
Would it be a good idea to get the little animal used to these sounds by exposing him to them. Do I do this while he's alone or do I stay with him? Any other ideas?
