A good show for Masmera!

Hey all!

As you know I showed 6 cats last Saturday and here's the show report ...

It was a very small but difficult show - the quality of cats was amazing!


STEVIE GRANDED!!!!!

Thank God for that! It was a tough fight between him and Reecie with Reecie taking Best Champion of Breed in the first 2 rings and FINALLY Stevie defeated her on the last two rings! They split the rings as usual!

Suria finalled in 3 rings - confirming my decision to show him in Hong Kong for his Granding and possible DW chase. 7th Highest Scoring Premier in show.

Bulan amazingly finalled in Pam DelaBar's ring as an open at 7th Best! She was also Best Abyssinian in 3 rings defeating BOTH parents!

Adik, the baby, as expected finalled in ALL FOUR RINGS! 6th Highest Scoring Kitten in show!

Lou the Norwegian also shockingly made one final in Pam DelaBar's ring! I was told that he would be easy to Grand!

So, at the end of it - and as a breeder ... my comments ...

My breeding is sound and on the right track! One Grand Champion (Stevie) finally and 3 more Grands coming up from Suria, Bulan and Adik.

I'M SO VERY HAPPY!

In a one day 4 ring show...

1. Get two (2) dedicated assistants - preferably JS winners.

2. Assign specific cat(s) to each child (in my case one is 13 and the other 11) - allow said assistants to fall in love with their assigned cats and then say, I'm sorry, but Adik has already been sold...

3. Bribe each child to do the job by promising new game boy game cartridges

4. Show the balance 3-4 cats yourself

5. Be very confident in the quality of your cats

6. Have the ability to split yourself into 3 so that you can see and hear all the judges comments on your cats (actually impossible - I am more than aware of that now )

7. Get ring news (especially the ones shown by said assistants) from everyone else who is less frazzled then you and comes bouncing up to you saying Congratulations! Look dumbly and ask why....

8. When competing against the breeder for last season's Asian COTY, do NOT expect your Wegie to be BOB, but DO expect to be 2nd BOB!!!

9. Be pleasantly surprised when your Wegie (whom you got free from a great breeder friend) along with your own bred Aby actually finals in the Premiership class in the President of CFA's ring

10. Be shocked when you DON'T final in one of your favourite (now ex- fave) judges' ring! After the final ends, heckle the same judge!!!

11. Don't eat lunch - survive on coffee, water and love alone!

12. To complete the exhaustion, have a post show party immediately after the show!

Honestly, I was nuts to have done it but I'm, glad I did!

Being nuts is OK Adilah, I've been like that for a long time As long as it all turned out and No Cats were missing at the end of the day and you had a smile on your face Nuts works Another big Congrats to you and those Beauties

Oh Congratulations! Yeah to all, but especially my favorite Bulan. I just love, love love her.

Anyone is welcome over here especially you, kittymonsters Bulan has been named "cat with most cattitude" or "the little witch" and I have been advised officially to send her to kitty boot camp to lose the "tude - then she will grand much faster - say in one show instead of 3! She's officially my spoilt brat!

THAT's why I like showing males better - they rarely have that attitude to get rid of - but the females keep it whether they are spayed or not
