Lily used to hate the air conditioner...

Then it got hot. Now she hides behind the couch, and as soon as the air conditioner comes on, she comes wandering out almost straight away, sits around for a bit, then once she's sufficiently cooled down, starts playing with every toy she can get her paws on

As soon as the air conditioner goes off, she slinks back behind the couch

I have one that hates fans. Well, she used to. Until she realized that they blew cold air on her, so now she lays in front of it

Her 2 favorite places to lay. 1) in the kitchen, on the tile floor under the A/C vent. When it's on, not only is cool air blowing on her, she's on a cool floor.

2) on the sofa. There's a vent directly above her. Now she can lay on the comfy couch, and get cool air at the same time!
