Has anyone noticed...

Has anyone noticed that after giving stray/feral cats fresh catnip (not dry) that after they seem less afraid of you and less nervous? Could catnip be one of the ways to getting a cat to trust you without being so nervous?

Because you know after they get all playful and then very relaxed.

From what i understand catnip has the same reaction in cats that smoking a joint has in humans

i tend to give them some on wet food when i first get them home, that makes it easier to clean the kennel and give them a bath if need be.

Yeah, dont they make some treats with catnip in them now?
