Your tribute to that very special boy has brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry he had to leave you. I KNOW how special he was. Now he can run, and jump, and climb, and play with all of the other kitties at the Bridge.
i remember those also, and they made me smile thank you.
rest in peace Ari. run and play now, at the bridge. Know that you are missed very much

I remember reading your first posts about him, and he was very lucky to have such a wonderful mum - not all CH cats are as lucky. He may have only had 1 year with you, but it was a love filled year. RIP little one.

A big & thanks to all...your words are very comforting.

You would think with 14 other tails running around here, there would be no void...but the silence without him is so apparent. I never realized how much attention he really received until now. It's almost like I don't know what to do with myself.

It is a huge comfort to dream that he is "whole" as so many of you have used that word. To think of Ari jumping & catching butterflies is a place I have been escaping to when the void becomes so "in my face".

Those darn CH cats really just grab your heart & soul. I do frequent a kill shelter...do rescues & fostering through local H. Society...maybe in the future, I will find another CH cat that needs a chance...who knows.

Have to admit my furry crew of 14 are loving all the extra attention I am now able to give them.

Thanks again for the prayers and soothing thoughts.

Leesali - it is odd, isn't it - doesn't matter how many cats we have, if we lose one, the house just feels completely empty. I hope that in time you can find another CH baby to give the life that Ari had, they would be a very lucky kitty.

Thank-you so much...really beautiful!!

Fortunately, when the whole incident occurred at the vets. office, I was with a friend of mine. She followed me home and we sat & cried together. I remember her telling me that when she walked into my home, she saw a flock...yes, a flock of butterflies fluttering around the front of my house. She said Ari must be giving them a-run-for-their-money
So...now whenever I see a butterfly, I do smile and think of Ari swatting & chasing the poor little thing.

Thanks to everyone for such kind supportive words...the pain and loss are still overwhelming at times.

I don't get into the Bridge as often as I should, but I'm glad I came in time to see Ari's story and tribute. A wonderful special little guy, and a special Meowmy. I'm sorry for your loss. The hole must be huge.

RIP Sweet Ari

I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Ari.

I believe that he is over the bridge, surrounded by a crowd of cats who spent their whole lives lonely. He is sharing with them what a happy life he had, cuddling with you, and surrounded by human and kitty love. Your tribute was simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing the miracle of Ari with us.
