My husband, big hearted guy that he is
, brought home a Momma cat and 2 kittens tonight. Someone had taken in the mom and she had a litter of 6 kittens. Well they had found homes for the other 4 kittens. Anyway where these people live they couldn't keep them and they needed them moved. Since we used to do rescue, my husband decided that we could bring them here and see how they do. We're not sure who stays and who goes yet....too soon to tell. I couldn't believe that he brought in 3 more!! It's ok, though. They needed a place to go and even if we don't keep them, we'll help them to find good homes.

Here they are:

Gaia:

Iris (I hope to keep this one...she's a sweetheart):

Phoebe:

Oh my, they are precious. It will be a hard decision to choose which ones to give a home too but I'm sure you will make sure they all find good homes.

Yeah it will, but the good thing is that after 10yrs of rescue, we have several contacts that we can turn to for help in finding a good home. That definitely helps and that's why he wanted to help, which I would have done the same thing.
They're sweethearts. Gaia is testy, but she's scared. If my husband had his way, no one would leave.
We have agreed, though, that Athena (the one I've been bottle-feeding) will definitely go up for adoption. She's a solid gray and will be the easiest to get adopted. My friend that works for the shelter is going to adopt Athena and her littermates out through the shelter when she's at our local Petsmart (which is every week) to guarantee their spays/neuters, but she's not checking them in until they get adopted. This way they get checked in and then adopted right out without ever having to go into the actual shelter. I'm thankful for that. Can you tell we have a soft spot for Torties?? LOL! I mean...hmmm...4 Tortie and white cats...2 regular and 2 diluted.

That is WONDERFUL that you and your husband are willing to just pick up cats in need on a whim. The cats are so lucky to have crossed your path in their time of need.
