Is she or isnt she?

I'm beyond confused at the moment. We have an 8 month old cat/kitten (she'll always be my kitten to me). Now I know we should've gotten her sorted at 6 months old but we had a bad experience with our dog getting sorted so I was not keen on getting her sorted so young so I was gonna wait till she seemed a more adult size.
Recently we've noticed she was getting fat then we realsied it could be pregnant. Now I've done lots of googling but I'm still not sure so heres the list of symptons: Fatter around abdomin, she was sick in the mornings back in may (read morning sickness can occur), sleep more, affectionate. I've tried to check her nipples but shes a long hair and not v keen on her chest being checked but managed it today and compared to our other cat I think they might be pinkier (I can get piccys maybe if needed to help). At this point most say take her to vets but we took her yesterday and didnt mention our suspesions (didnt want to seem daft) and figured they should know anyways. Have to say I wasnt overly keen on his opinion and he was very young and didnt speak much english SO now I'm just not sure.
If she is then going of the may sickness shes due in next week or two so I really need some advice here. If she is , we will ofc take good care of her and friends of ours been looking for a kitten so it'll be fine.
Thanks for any help

Those sound like definate signs of pregnancy. The only thing that could be making her big only around the middle would be worms. If you put your hands on her stomach, can you feel any movement?

Back in may I actually posted on this site about it (thought she might be overeating at the time) and alot of people pointed me to worms so we had all our cats dewormed. Their due another deworming soon but we're holding off with her in case its not good for her if shes pregnant.
As for movement I'm not sure, shes not v keen on being felt and shes a long hair making it hard, but I thought I did.
But back in may when she was ill it only lasted 2-4 days on alternate days and was always dead on 6am or 7am. She threw up alot and that was that and she didnt show any changes in behaviour for the rest of the day suggesting any illness.

Hmm, I don't know. It could be a false pregnancy, or worms too. If she had them bad, then the first deworming might not have taken care of them.

Also, if oyu have a bad experience with your dog being neutered, I wouldn't let that affect your whole opinion on neutering. It is actually important to get it done BEFORE they mature and go into heat because it GREATLY reduces the risk of cancer and pyometra. Try to find a more reputable vet if you are nervous about it.

I'm kinda surprised that the vet didn't say anything, if she's due in a week or two I would have thought they'd mention something about her belly size

Can you take her back, or go to another vet? If she's not pregnant and has worms she would need to be treated for that.

her nipples would be big at this point and hard not to notice them even in a long hair cat. its hard for us to say. i would say another vet vist tell them what you think and see what they say they can fell her and tell you for sure.

The vets we used are usually ok , I dunno why they've taken to hiring young ones barely out of school (sorry if that sounded mean). Its also our closest but ofc this is something we need to know for sure so I am at the moment looking around.
As its saturday today and sunday ofc no ones open , it'll be monday before anywhere is open so will update when I know more.

thanks for the update. are you going to book her in for a spay soon now? i know it can be dishearting when expecting kittens and they dont come, but if you look on the bright side at least you dont have to worry about any problems that can occur finding the right homes for them all etc.
