Since everybody doesn't check out the Feral Cats and Kittens forum, I wanted to start another thread here to offer congratulations to a TCS member, Jenn (jcribbs) and her handsome tuxedo boy, Jimmy.

Yesterday was a very, very special day for Jenn and Jimmy. After more than a year in her care, Jimmy, who was trapped as feral kitten in Cincinnati at the age of 6 months, allowed Jenn to not only pet him, but brush him.
And, best of all, he was enjoying it!

This is huge step for Jimmy and for Jenn, who has been working to gain Jimmy's trust since she adopted him in March of last year (this happened through TCS - another miracle!).

Jenn's committment to Jimmy and her willingness to move at his pace is such an inspiration and an example of what patience and love can accomplish in earning the trust of feral kitty. For more about their story, check here: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90779

Congratulations and lots of love to Jenn and Jimmy!

Congrats Jenn & Jimmy!
Way to go!!!

Having my little man Ferris in my life gives me a real solid appreciation for those who work with and can successfully socialize ferals.

Jenn certainly has a way with animals. She seems to understand them and have a way to get them to come to her and trust her no matter what situations they have faced. Big Higs to Jenn and to Jimmy

Thanks guys. I'm in awe of Jenn and her way with animals. I'm also inspired by anyone who's willing to open their hearts to a feral kitty and give them the time, space and love they need to learn to trust. Having experienced it with my own two feral babies, Peter and Claire, I can honestly say that watching them blossom has been incredibly rewarding.

I'm just so thrilled for Jenn and Jimmy.

It is ALWAYS such a wonderful feeling when they hit the breakthrough!! I will always remember my Timmy's breakthrough day roughly two years ago, and how I actually cried when I heard him purr for the first time, after months of having him!!
He gets better ever day.
