She was there for a follow up interview!! When her new boss came to retrive her he told her she was in the wrong place she needed to see another person, she replied to him "I KNOW THAT!! Just tell me where I am supposed to be so I can get there already, I am freaking late!!!' She still got hired!!!
Yikes! What was the boss thinking? He is doing her no favor by hiring her with that attitude and dress. The rest of the world will not be so flexible.

Movin' on up!
I have a few T-shirts, that I WON'T wear to my mom's house:

"That's MS. B**** To You"

"I'd LIKE to Care, But My Give-A-D***'s Busted"

"I'm Not The Girl Next Door, I'm The @#%&$ Down The Street!" (That's actually how it is printed.)

Generally, I wear these to a bar or on a motorcycle ride, though and certainly NOT around my grandkids.

I wouldn't want my child to read that and to think that the comment expressed on his shirt was an appropriate comment/attitude to have. What about the older people on the bus. They shouldn't have to read things like that.

I mean really, who sells junk like that? Why would you sell junk like that. I have found a major increase in shirts with inappropriate images and saying on them.

I understand the right of freedom of expression, but at what point do you say enough is enough.

Am I just being to sensitive?
Yeah, it's not really kid-appropriate, but there's not a whole lot you can do, other than just talk to your kids about it.

I usually use that sort of thing to my advantage. Once, I was at the laundromat with bf's two little cousins, who were about 10 at the time. A younger couple came in with a few other guys and, while waiting for their wash, the guy was swearing up a storm. F this, s word, the whole nine. I thought about asking him to keep it down, although I knew these kids had heard those words before. After I had considered the inevitable show of bravado that would follow if I, a mere girl, had asked him, in the presence of his other young buddies, to put a lid on it.....I decided on another approach. I nudged the kids and mentioned how dumb that guy looked, swearing all the time. They said "I was thinking the same thing!" and "Yeah, it's like he only knows three words!" and we had a laugh at his expense. Finished up the conversation by reminding them that when you swear, you often look much sillier and stupider than you would if you had used proper words to express yourself. They fully agreed. They've even brought it up again. If they hear someone swear, they'll say "hey, remember that weird guy at the laundromat? He looked SO STUPID! Maybe this guy is a friend of his! lol"

I used to wear bad language/potty humor shirts, when I worked as a roadie.
I was only around the 21+ crowd in very dark bars

I would never have even considered wearing them in mixed company or out in public.

That isn't even clever or funny or makes you think. What's the point? Rude and dumb. People like that should either be shot, or go back to school.

Yes, on our local news here awhile back, they had police-car-cam video of a guy bailing out of a stolen car and running for the woods -- but his pants slipped down, tripped him, and got him apprehended for grand theft auto!

Leli, about the laundromat thing -- brilliantly handled!

Thanks.

They're really good kids anyway, I've never really heard them swear at all. Well, they've said the a hole word once telling a joke, but I might have been the one to have originally told them that one

They're VERY polite, to the point of annoying. Whenever I take them ANYWHERE they say thank you at least 10 times. I have to be like "okay, no problem, please stop thanking me and move onto a new subject" lol

Back when I was in the dating world my sister and I used to love it when guys wore those types of T-shirts. It told us all we needed to know about them so we could decide if they were worth any time or not - in this particular case, that guy would NOT be worth any conversation. Just a simple profile of T-shirts to see what work they did (firefighters, etc), causes they support (5K races, giving to animals, French club) and other more "personalized" t's could tell us so much before we even met them!

No Vacancy...One on the way!
My fiance will wear stupid shirts out every now and then. I didnt start to have a problem with them until we started dating seriously a while back. for instance.
"im looking for a girlfriend...(on back side) who wont tell my girlfriend"
thats just asking for trouble. girls get the wrong impression and then when he says, i have a pregnant fiance at home they look at him like..:censor::censor::censor:?
Or one that says " Im probably lying" thats a stupid one if you ask me.
He doesnt wear ones with curse words or ones using sexual refrences which is nice but most of the times shirts like that are just for attention.
i bought my son a shirt that says..stud muffin with a pic of a muffin lol!
and he has a onsey that says "future mr.right" and his daddy has one that reads mr.right. lol just to humor us.

The thing is, people USED to think about others before themselves. They would especially consider children. Now everything is me, me, me. If you don't want your child to see or hear bad stuff it is up to you to turn off the tv/turn off the radio/don't let them go to sporting events/basically don't let them have a life. No one cares about it anymore. It isn't their child, so how is it their responsibility?

What Not to Wear in Public? How about this ---

Was driving up FDR Drive in Manhattan (like a parkway along the East River) and saw a guy wearing ...

a cheetah print THONG -- and that's all!
(oh, and it wasn't a bikini, it was a G-string type thong...)

He looked like an amateur body builder type, maybe trying to tan or something --- It was just weird.

I have a few shirts that have funny sayings on them but none of them are offensive like that.. At least I hope not.

One says "Im not in a bad mood, I just don't like you"
"Does not play well with others"
"I know what I want"

And DH has a couple too

"Gone to my happy place... back soon" and it looks like a piece of paper taped to it

"My mommy thinks Im special"

"I have a black belt in crazy"

and some Jeff Foxworthy ones too.

Ones like these I think are funny but anything with an expletive I don't like.

Oh and my sons have a few too

"Blame it on my brother"

Dont blame me, the dog did it

Lost in thought, send help

Trouble is spelled "B-r-o-t-h-e-r"

This is what trouble looks like

Yes, Im ignoring you

I could go on and on

I personally find the shirt in the original post to be on the tame side. Then again my DH use to work for Sik World, toe originators of the offensive tshirts. Some of their shirts make the one in the post look like a Disney shirt. He also has done stuff for Tshirt Hell which makes Sik World look like Disney. In all reality it could have been a whole lot worse.

That said, we both own many shirts that are offensive wven to us. We choose to where them at home only and no where else. Some things should not be worn in public but at the same time anyone should have the right to express how they are feeling. Its a tough one. On one hand I fully support anyone who is brave enough to where something like that in public but I also think you need to think before you where something.

I wouldn't be offended by that shirt. Personally I don't use language like that, and I don't necessarily think a shirt like that is in good taste. But I do believe in the freedom of speech and self expression. If he wants to wear a shirt like that in public, he should have the right to do so. Those who don't like it can turn the other way. Thats what I do when I see/read something I don't like. I just ignore it.

I don't get offended period. I think shirts like that are funny honestly. I saw a little toddler, just walking wearing a shirt with a middle finger on it. I don't know, I just think that is funny. I guess I am immature. But I have a shirt from the movie "House of 1000 Corpses" and the back of it says "Everbody F*cking Dies" because, well, they do. I usually wear it when I go to the horror conventions or something similar. But that is totally tame compared to some of the things you see at the conventions. Which is why I love them
