I LOVE LOVE LOVE zoos, especially good quality zoos that properly look after their animals! So post your favourite zoo pics here!

Singapore Zoo is a wonderful zoo, the animals have heaps of space, and just seemed so happy! It was all very natural settings, and they had educational talks and feedings constantly so you could not only learn more about the animals, but interact with them as well.

So here's my favourite pics.

Elephant posing

Gorgeous leopards - the talk and feeding for these guys was so cool. They were throwing the food all around the enclosure so the leopards had to leap and jump, and scramble for the food - to keep them active, and for fun.

Proboscis monkeys - check out the noses!

Adult

Young (still growing his nose - he was so cute!)

Beautiful butterfly

Me hanging out with a curious lemur

Mum and baby hanging out. Another big monkey kept picking on the baby - whenever he got near, mum would go beat him up. One time he got too close and dad joined in as well and gave the other monkey a walloping!

The baby playing "chasey" with big brother (?). That's my mum giving commentary in the background

Video coming...

White tigers waiting for lunch!

I'm not going to fight him for it!!!

I can't remember what these were, but the ones with big red bottoms were apparently females who were "in season". We got to throw fruit to these guys as well.

This one had figured out if he jumped up and down and clapped his hands - people would throw more fruit at him!

And this girl was amazing!!! She had a baby on her back and was doing backflips for food!!

Bringing out the monkeys so people could pose with them!

Otter feeding time

Can't remember what this guy was called, but he was gorgeous!!

Another cute little fella hanging out!

Dolphin lagoon in Singapore

Home of the pink dolphins!

I got chosen to be part of the show!

Yep. Had to jump in fully clothed... It was worth it though!

And Underwater World in Singapore

The underside of a big ray

GORGEOUS seahorse

Underside of a shark

Nemo's!!

Jellyfish

My aunt posing with a snake - she thought she was incredibly brave

If you hadn't already guessed, Singapore was AWESOME and I highly recommmend it as a place to visit. The non-animal parts of Singapore were just as good

Awesome pics Sarah!
I love the tiger pic where he's jumping. :thumb:

I didn't see any sea critters at the Philadelphia zoo, but maybe I missed that section. I plan to go the NJ aquarium some time this year, maybe I can get some fishy pics there.

New Jersey Aquarium is awesome. We plan on going again this summer. My kids loved it as did I. You will get LOTS of pictures
The Philly zoo does NOT have an aquarium.

That zoo is awesome and looks so natural. I am use to the Philly zoo and it is nothing like your pictures which are fantastic. I do have to say though that those monkeys with the red butts look like they have a growth growing back there and looks so uncomfortable....
....LOL

Over the river and through the woods...
Great pics guys! Everytime I go to a zoo it seems to be right after feeding time and everyone is taking a siesta
. I love that seahorse, Sarah. Actually, they are also called seadragons and I think they are only found in that part of the world.
