Ok since i got Sace and Uno, i have been wondering some things. they were both shown. Sace has a cert for a Grand and Premier Grand.

what does that mean?

I am assuming this is CFA so the Grand Champion means he beat 200 Champions(non altered cats) and the Grand Premier means he beat 75 premiers (altered cats).

Yes Grand is quite an accomplishment in CFA.

well, thats nice to know.

so that means even after being altered, he can still be shown? i have thought about it, but really only to show him off, not to try to gain anything. he is so beautiful!

If he is a Grand Premier he was already shown as an alter.

Yes, he can still be shown as a Grand Premier. You may want to check with the breeder that had him and find out if they would like you to continue showing him and how/if he enjoyed being shown. He/she might also be able to help you with the grooming for the show, and maybe even be there with you for your first show!

Yes Grand Champion in any association is the prize goal
My cornish rex granded in CFA, ACFA and unofficially in TICA - as he was never registered in TICA; only shown once and granded at the time.

Right now we are working on Charlie's Altered Grand Championship in ACFA and Grand Premiership in CFA.

i have all his paperwork and was told he loved shows. dunno bout that, cause hes wary of other cats, but LOVES humans, lol.

she told me i could do as i want with him, and signed everything over to me, so i guess its all in my hands. might be fun! so im going to go to a few shows, talk to some ppl, and see what the pros and cons if it will be.

above all, if hes not into it, its not worth it, but if he is, and i can have fun, why not?.
since he is altered, and already granded, what else can he achieve?

If you show him enough you could go for regional wins - but that would mean a cat show once or twice a month during the show season

If you have all the paper work (am assuming he's registered with CFA), you could also use that registration to register and show him in other associations like TICA or ACFA. You'd start all over there - as an "open", then "champion", then "grand champion".

Sace is registered with the TICA, and the CCAFC( canadian).

i just got the mail. the previous own forgot to give me some of the papers, and both Sace and Uno are Premier and Grand.

so i guess with them both, start over in the TICA?

Does CFA go higher than grand? Like double grand, silver, gold?

Which registry are his Grands under? You could always re-register him with other registries and chase Grands there. If he was Granded in CFA the only thing left is Regional/National wins - very costly and exhausting. If only a Premier without the Grand behind it then you can chase the Grand for that!
