Ok im home alone and there is a door upstairs creaking. I really hope its the cats. That would be just what i need. Although im too scared to go up the stairs to find out. eeek!!!

I freak myself when I hear noises as well. The sensible part of my brain knows it's nothing, but there's a little part of my brain that says "but what if it's someone trying to kill me", even if I know there's no way any body could have gotten to that part of the house without going past me and then it all snowballs from there.


Have you got a good book you can read to try to pass the time? Or can you go out and just walk around the shops? Anything just to take your mind off things!

lol baby (cat) just walked down looked at me like why are u staring at the stairs. It was prob him! lol hubby gets home in a hour ill make him go check it out lol.

Well not sure how it went. She had me in tears within the first 15 mins. I did not expect her to jump into things so fast. She told me that she could see the anxiety more thean she did when I went there before. My hubby and I got into a big fight last night he wanted to know what we all talked about. When I told him work he got mad and said well quitting your job isnt a option and got all pissy. I never told him I was gonna quit thats the reason im going is so I dont. I know he feels threatned by me going but I cant feel like im getting jumped on after each session. I felt like he was cross examining me. If i felt like I could talk to him i woulndt be going to see her.

Sweetie,
Your husband is feeling vulnerable and I hope he learns to be more supportive. Tell him that your goal is to handle the problems at work better, not necessarily quit. I really hope that you continue because it will enrich your life with him. Would it be possible for him to come with you so his concerns could be addressed also?

I am sorry that you had a rough time and that your husband is making this more difficult than it already is.

Even though she had you crying, how did you feel after the session? Were you comfortable with her? Do you feel that she can help you?

I felt ok just surprised. She seemed to read me more then I expected. And I didnt think that she would dive into it so quickly.

I am soooooo tired today. Got about a hour of sleep last night was doing ok this morning now im just dragging. Blah!

Have you tried meditation? I have found that it was difficult when I started, but I really find it restful and helpful now.

It is difficult to start. Especially when you try to clear your mind, that is when everything seems to want to zip into your mind!

Start by finding a comfortable position. Then tense each area of your body section by section. Hold it for about 5 seconds and then release the tension. Practice deep breathing. Have soft music (maybe nature sounds) playing. I have a place that I visualize. It is a lovely green forest with a babbling brook. Little forest creatures scamper along. It is very soothing to me.

You have to find out what works for you.

It sounds like this therapist has gotten a little more interactive since you last saw her! That's good. Do you think you want to continue with her for now, or do you still want to switch?

I'm so sorry your husband is being oblivious.
They so often are. And Katachtig is right, arranging for him to participate in a session or two would be very helpful -- he would probably feel reassured by the experience, and he would probably get an education from your therapist on how to be supportive to you during this time, rather than undermining all your hard work.

I'm so glad you went! I know it was hard to drag yourself out. But it sounds like the therapist is ready to jump right in and start making things happen, which I think is a good thing. Are you okay with it?

Don't I know it! I am lucky if I get 3 hours a night and none of it in a row - an hour here, an hour there. It is difficult going through life like a sleep deprived zombie!

Well I got some sleep last night. Went to the harry potter movie and didnt get home till 11:30 was up laying in bed until about 2 and slept til 6. Woohoo. A little is better then none.

hey 4 hours isn't bad (about my avaerage). Did you get to relax and enoy the movie?
