He's getting smarter about them.

I walked into the bathroom and ran the water in the tub. As I walked back out into the living room he had disappeared. He was hiding under the big green chair. As I tried to get him out this is was our conversation.

Me: Biscuit, will you come out? (Biscuit is his nickname)

Him: No. Never. I hate getting these bathes.

I walk into the kitchen and get his favorite treats.

Me: Biscuit, do you want a treat? They are yummy!

Him:
you. I know your crafty tricks.

Scratch: Meowmy, I'm hungry. I want a treat. Meowmy can I have a treat? I'm a good boy. I love you. Rub my belly. Can I have one? Meowmy? Are you listening? I need food I'll die if I don't.

I give Scratch a treat so he'll go away.

Me: Michael! I need your help.

Husband: We have to lift up the chair.

Him: Whatever. I'm not leaving. I don't want a bath.

After we lifted up the chair he dashed under the couch. we moved that out and got him.

He was so mad at me yesterday I didn't get my Dr. Claw cuddles.

Don't worry, I have to give Smudge eye drops every day which she HATES, and makes me feel like the worst meowmy in the world every day.

While he may not like them, I'm sure he understands why you do it.

The good news is that we are getting some belly fur to grow back!

Ohh just think of the belly rubs he'll let you give him (once he's forgiven you).

Awww, poor Dr. Claw! He may hate his baths, but I bet he sure doesn't miss the itching! In time he will get used to it.

That's great news about his tummy fur

The other two have taken to grooming him as well. It's kind of cute.

I'm just so excited that he looks like a real kitty now. He's such a sweetie pie, and I love him.

When I give him the bath all he does is look up at me with the sad eyes. He won't let me dry him, so I'm stuck with a wet cat running around the apartment for a few hours.

The best is when I have a friend come over right afterwards. Dr Claw will come out and groom himself in front of the guest. It's like he's saying, "I'm an abused cat. Will you take me in?"

Silly boy.

OMG! That hilarious

He'll forgive you eventually - And maybe after a while you won't have to give him baths anymore, AND he won't be itchy!
