Got the day off today to recover from the wedding I attended yesteray- never been to a Jewish wedding before and the food was great whilst the ceremony was very long...

Weather looks a little overcast but at least it is not raining

Morning all

Pretty humid here today... hear we might get some storms this afternoon or something.

Little off today... Day 1 of quitting smoking and my brain is messing with me. I keep going "Oh, ok I've finished my coffee... now I'll go outside and have my morning ciga.... oh right."
Whew... gonna take some time to get the hang of this!

Anyway... pot of hazelnut already brewed if anyone wants! Cream? Sugar?

Are you using some form of NRT- I'm using the Nicorette inhalators and have been off cigarettes for three weeks now

WTG on 3 weeks!

I didn't see the inhalators in the store... I think there were only patches, lozenges and gum. I went with the patches.

Congrats on quitting guys! You can do it!!!!

Off to work! Hopefully the family I nanny for read the contract I gave them on Friday....(If you haven't read, I've been seriously taken advantage of by them!). The contract was necessary. If they don't sign, then no deal as far as the extra stuff I've been doing......
If the DO sign, then more $$ for what I have been doing! Either way it's WIN WIN.

I quit using the patches before but always restarted, much prefer the inhalators as you use them like cigarettes. They appear to be available in the USA but only on prescription (unlike the UK) http://www.inhousedrugstore.com/stop...ml?PHPSESSID=.

Yeah! I've been following this and no matter what the outcome I think the contract has been the right thing to do

Unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the
good morning.

today is a day off, and I'm feeling a bit better this morning than I was last night. Although I'm still annoyed that things were decided for me, and wondering why my friend didn't call last night (I sent him an email, and I know he was online last night... but didn't answer or talk to me. even though he said we'd get together. It's hard not to take it personally
)

Anyways, as explained in another thread, I'm off to the zoo today with my family. I can't really not go because I know it would make my nephew really sad. I think he's the only one in my family who sincerely misses me. (he's 3 years old, and I always play with him when I see him... that's an easy way to be loved
)

So I'll try to have fun despite it all, and I'm hoping I'll be back home for dinner. I have the feeling that my parents will want me to stay for dinner so I can have a proper birthday cake, but I'll try to tell them I'm "too tired" or something.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning!!

Another cool morning ( low 50's!!) The rain unfortunately is north of where I live but more chances over the next couple of days.
Have a small yard maintenance job this afternoon which is good as I am still trying to wake up!!

Yesterday was my gdson/nephews HS graduation party-we went early to help set up-his parents had invited well over 200 people and I think they all showed up!! There was an incredible amount of food by time we left most was all devoured!! My SIL Barb (the one who had the stroke) came and seemed to do very well she was a bit cold though so she had some blankets layered on her. She was sad to go but I hope this visit was good for her.

Well off to read some more posts.

Have a good Monday.

It's my first day without a job so I'm going to do something radical!

I'm going to get on the treadmill!

Seriously I am....DH would be suprised I'm awake but I am. I'm going to hop on the treadmill for a bit, then grocery shop and then attack my dirty kitchen! Maybe then I'll have time to work on my curtains and my friend's birthday present. Both require sewing!

Morning everyone.

Very nice morning here bright, sunny around 24 degrees.
Heading off to work early today, no doubt I will have a ton of stuff to deal with not being there yesterday.

My boss already called me to tell me he would be unavailable for the day.
(translation: it's a great day, I going boating, or maybe playing golf)

Did my usual load of laundry this morning.

The kitties are good, lounging in the window watching the kids across the street play on their swings. Got some really great pictures of them and once I download them I will post some.

Hope you all have a good day.

The contract was a no go. They didn't sign and took the chore list down. Oh well. At least now I don't have to do all the extras!
