Oh and about the transitions lenses. If you frequently go in and out of the house or buildings they can be annoying. DH is a delivery driver and they told him not to get them because by the time they start to change when he goes into a business to make a delivery, it's time to go out again. My Mom has them and seems to like them though.

I think those frames perfectly suit your face and coloring - good choice!

I have the transitions, and I find them annoying for the above reason. It can take up to a minute or so for them to lighten and darken. I've never had them darken due to artificial light, I must say.

They're great if you do a lot of driving, though.

I'm in need of new glasses, and have been considering whether to get them again. I don't always wear glasses, but contacts, so the extra $$$ and the annoyance probably will prevent me from getting them this time.

I am in a building for 8.5 hours a day for working but......... It takes me at least an hour to get to work and about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get home... So maybe the transitionals wouldnt be so bad for me. My job requires I stay inside all day until it is time to leave. I'm mainly suppose to wear my glasses for... reading, watching tv, being on the computer, and driving (for sure at night).

Gorgeous! I'm going to follow your lead the next time I get glasses... I've always gone with the frames that are most unobtrusive, in the hope that they'll just "disappear"... but they don't. They just look dull and boring.

So next time -- I'm getting glasses with OOMPH! I'm thinking a slim plastic frame in clear red...

I have transitional lenses but they don't work in the car. I was told that when I bought them, but I had my mind made up. They were right, it has something to do with the tinting of the windows. I do a lot of driving and I end up using clip-ons in the car. I won't spend the money for that next time.

I felt the same way when I got my glasses 2 years ago. The worst part was, the first day I wore them to work my boss had just gotten new glasses and she got the same frames as me.
I really did not like her and that didn't help.

I tried to edit, but for some reason (I'm a dummy) I couldn't.
I wanted to say that your glasses look great on you and you made a wonderful choice!

Awww Im sad, the transitional lenses sound more of a disappointment over anything else. I dont think I could get clip on shades for these frames because they are plastic???? I definitely dont have the money to buy prescription sunglasses at the moment... Of course I would have to have those as designer as well... Gonna have to hold off on that one! Thanks for all the positive feedback... Im nervous about everyone pointing it out and making comments about it tomorrow. I get weird when i get compliments or when people ask me things regarding my appearance.. Im strange that way I guess.

you still look very pretty with them. so they are just fine

oh yea, about the lense thing,
i keep 2 pair with me, one normal and then i take sun glass frame and have lens put in those.

lets count
1 normal pair.
1 ray ban, with the same shade that is used in airforce.for flying(it does help to bring out details)
1 biker style frame.
1 yellow lens for shooting

ok maybe i went overboard with the whole sun glass thing

i think that's a good choice, frame-wise. i would not get the transitional lenses, myself - i prefer to control my own level of light, but i'm picky that way. i use those slip-over type sunglasses when i wear my glasses instead of my lenses. you can also get some that clip onto your glasses - my mom likes that kind. my brother has the transitional lenses, & he had to take off his glasses for our last family photo, because it was taken outside, & his glasses turned dark.

I like them! I sometimes wish I needed glasses because I love the look of people with glasses.

LOL I use to always want glasses too, now I have a complex when I wear them if I look silly or not. Apparently I look much smarter so some say (Im not sure if that is a compliment or an insult
) As for what people have said, it hasnt been much... I think people just assumed I have worn contacts all my life and so no one has said much, which I am so greatful for... I am weird when people point out something different about me. So the transition wasnt that bad for me at all!
