Ontario is a fairly big place so until we know where they are, not much we can help with, but I will keep an eye on it for a reply

Same here! As Eithne said, it's a big province.

I wish I could help but I don't know much about where to find things in Ontario as I live way over in Saskatchewan.

well thanks all for your responses I was just hoping they might be a national 'chain' like the Cats Protection League in UK or is it SPCA in US sorry not really sure what services they offer. Anyway I'm sure theres some great options for this member now

We have an SPCA but they don't run the shelters (they do help them with funds etc where needed). Every city (pretty much) has a city run shelter, but the private ones are generally better.

The Humane Society, while having a central head office are pretty much run independent of each other also, and offer different services depending on where you live. But they both deal more with the legal issues / government relations / fundraising etc than the 'actual' local shelters.
