Someone explain how Frontline & Revolution work please!

I've just Frontline & Revolution the cats.

Now, how does Frontline work vs. Revolution? I Frontlined the foster kittens...they brought me fleas despite being Revolutioned 6/15. I Revolutioned my 6, for cost reasons....that & Molly definately has ear mites.

Now, I just saw a flea crawling on Punky....he & I were snuggling in bed.

Will the Frontline kill all live fleas that are on Punky & come in contact with him for 2 months? Does Frontline kill fleas within 24 hours?

Will the Revolution kill all fleas that are on my 6 now & for 1-2 months to follow? How fast does Revoltion kill fleas?

They've only had fleas since Tues when they got them at the shelter...& I haven't seen many, but with the babies in my bedroom....what should I do in the house? Wash my bedding in hot water? What about the mattress/box spring? Carpet? I can't fine DE anywhere....& I'm worried about fleas living in the house.

Just FYI-I swear I itch all over now! I don't think I've got fleas, it's kinda like when you see a spider, you feel them crawling all over you....

I don't have any experience with Frontline, but I love Revolution. I have used it on all my cats, including our bobcats and cougar. Last year, I had a real bad flea outbreak. Carmelo had so many, I could see them all over. Everywhere that Boris would lay, I would see flea eggs. This happened so fast and caught me by surprise. However, after I applied the Revolution, within 24 hours, I was finding dead fleas. I know Revolution kills the eggs too. I vacuumed real good every day for a week too, to help get rid of any fleas that may have been hiding in the carpet. I would say, within 48 hours, all the fleas were gone off my cats, including Carmelo. You do have to apply Revolution every month to keep things in control, but I applied it every 2 months and never had the fleas return. Revolution helps control heart worms and ear mites too.
