So yesterday my friend and I were biking and we found a stray kitten. It came right out of an area with lots of bushes and trees by a busy railroad.

Hes very affectionate and will follow you around and is real happy to see you. We came down twice yesterday and once today to see him and give him some food and water. Everytime we go there he comes right out and is happy to see us.

When its time to go home he wants to follow but I just can't let him and I feel really bad about it. I really want to bring him home but my parents say one cats enough.

What can I do? I really want to help him and im always thinking about him, and it really makes me feel bad.

Thanks

Maybe try going around to some of the houses in that area and see if anyone owns him.

There really isnt any houses around. Its an industrial area. There was a bag of food and a food/water dish left with him (empty when we found him) and my friend and I are the only people who feed him. Im thinking he was abandoned.

Thanks

First..and most important is to have him checked over by a vet to see whether he is neutered and whether he has a microchip. Don't assume just because he is in an industrial area that he doesn't have a home...best to at least have him vet checked.

If he isn't neutered...then neutering him is in order. Not only because it will prevent him from getting any other cats pregnant, but it will significantly reduce his chances of getting cancer and will assist you in finding him a new home.
