She looks so much like Zissou
Especially right when I found her she was very sick too.

Bless her heart.

I agree about the quarantining in general though. It would be awful if she has anything more than the obvious wrong with her but even worse if it spread to the rest of your house.

Monica, PLEASE do NOT take this the wrong way....as it is NOT meant to be rude
If you are having to place some or all of your cats, shouldn't you try and find another home for this cute little baby? I mean no offense to you. Just that why would you want to take on another furbaby, knowing that you can't keep it--as you are having to rehome several/all of yours due to moving?
I applaud you for saving her, and I truly hope you can find her a forever home SOON.

If such a thing doesn't already exist, maybe you could organize some kind of "pet reclamation center" once the waters recede... maybe at a pet store in town! They might let you put out the word for everyone who has found a lost critter to bring it to the store, and everyone who's missing somebody to come look for their little ones. Radio stations would help, I'm sure.

Even though we live in a flood-safe area, we have an odd configuration on the west side of our house that causes the kitchen to flood every time there's a hard rain for even a few minutes. I know what a strain that is on us, so I can't imagine what it's like for people with truly serious flooding, trying to restore their homes... all good wishes and hopes for an end to the rain up there...

Awww good. Is she getting any treatment for those marks, and did you find out if they are ringworm/road rash? The spot on top of her head looks like an abscess.

Oh the poor little baby! I do hope those are just external injuries and she'll recover from them soon. She's so adorable though!

counting down until graduation!!
Any news on the cute baby yet? I hope it is not ringworm. I cat-sat (sounds funny) for a friend that was giving her sister a kitten for Christmas. The week after Christmas, my friend called me and told me that the cat had ringworm. I had no idea as she had no signs of it whatsoever. Well, the vet said whoever was in contact with the kitten would probably get it.

YUP!!! That sucked!! I think I had spots for almost a year! Not a whole lot, but I kept passing it from leg to leg. It was definately a challenge for me to get rid of. Apparently it was easy for the cat to get rid of!!

I was also told that I will always have the virus in me and might get spots again. Anyone know if this is true? It has been 10 years or so and I don't think I have had anymore spots... ????
