As I said in a previous post, we are getting a part-Bengal kitten in a few weeks. My husband was speaking to his work colleague who owns Mumpuss. He was saying she is driving them up the wall with her incessant miaowing. She's demanding food at all the hours of the day and night. They haven't slept for nearly a week now.

They're giving her plenty of food, both wet and dry so she's never without food at all. I'm wondering if there may be something wrong with Mumpuss as I can't remember my cat when she had kittens years ago acting like that.

If it were my cat, I'd take her to the vet to get a check-up just to make sure everything is OK.

Anyone got any ideas? The kittens are quite large (Bengals are large cats) and are coming up for 5 weeks old now so Mumpuss should have started weaning them.

It's possible she is in heat again. Contrary to what some folks believe that they won't go into heat again so soon after giving birth, they can and some do.

Also, if she is still allowing the kittens to suckle she may need a richer food like a kitten formula food. Often the folks here will feed pregnant and nursing females kitten food for the extra calories and nutrition.
