Last night we invited some friends over for a cookout over our firepit. About 30 minutes before they came over and Neil had just started the fire Bobs came trotting up to our pit area carrying her own supper (another gopher)!
Evidently she didn't want to wait as she ate it before the fire was ready!!

Good thing as these folks don't have pets and might have been grossed out with grilled gopher.

Gosh, wasn't Bobs considerate in providing her own?

In my head I now have that old fave fireside camping song that goes "Gobs and gobs of greasy, grimey gopher guts..."

French fried eye balls floating in a bowl of blood

MMMMM and me without a spoon!

I just had to finish it off or it would play in my head all day.

I had a friend that bred Siamese cats, well one of the cats decided to not only bring it's own bird but coming running in, sliding down the completely set table of guests to show his owner
and then zoomed off out the back door as he was followed by one of the other cats chasing him.

Not sure if the first one took it away from the second one but when I heard the story it just made me roll. Needless to say dinner was a bust for the guests.
