I looked at the pictures. You seem to have a pretty decent RB there. He's got the coat, silver tipping and looks like decent eye color (they will be greener as he gets older). Head is nice too.

The major US registeries are CFA, TICA, and ACFA. There is also the Canadian one CCA (I think). There are a few legit smaller associations. Let us know which "regsitry" your cat is listed in when you get the papers.

NO legit good breeder of purebreds sells their cats to a pet store or out of a pet store.

I can post some more soon if need be, just right now my internet connection is a bit slow. (always having a slow day recently even for broadband).

I know since I bought him at a petshop he could be faulty. I hope he's not.

This probably isn't the right place to ask, but what makes a cat show quality?
Is it not just the looks and behaviour?

Thanks for your help.

He's 5mths old. Born Jan 27
Well if you bought from a pet store then there is no guarentee as he came from a really bad breeder or a cat mill. I wouldn't be suprised if the papers never come either to be honest...

BUT he is GORGEOUS! I love those big green eyes.

You kitty looks like a purebred Russian Blue to me. She has that adorable little face that in unique to Russian Blue's. She looks like every other Russian Blue I've ever seen. She's beautiful. Also, I don't know of TICA or CFA are in your country, you may have another registry for Pedigree cats in your country.

Also, when I bought my Bengal Simba. I got some papers to send to TICA, I guess to register the name I gave him or something like that. Since it cost money to do so, and since I didn't intend to show him, I just never sent them in. So, to this day, Simba is a pedigree cat, with his Pre registry papers (I guess that's what you call them), but he isn't officially registered until I fill them out, pay the money and send them in.

Yes, this is quite normal in RB-kittens. (even not so much as in some!). Usually it get lesser as they grown up.

Visible marks are a fault in grown up Russians. But not unusual you anyway can detect a shade of them in certain light. Also in good individuals.

This one started off in the cat lounge and then got moved to the breeders corner.
I had already started a new one in the breeding corner after not getting much response to this one

I even answered twice - seeing it was a similiar question as another posted and answered, but not noticing it was same person asking...

The mods are always on top of things and will move posts if they are in the wrong section. Or I'm sure you could PM one of them to assist in moving things

I just found out that they have to prove Diego's bloodline to register him.

Um its a Japanese registry, not sure what its called yet.
We had to call the place where we bought Diego, coz Neko sounds like he may have URI, we think he would have got that from Diego so wanted to know if they will reimburse the vet bill. Anyway I had my wife ask if they had to prove the bloodline.
But now that I know that the stripes are normal in kittens I'm not so worried. I just thought it wasn't normal
