I made a cartoon kitty animation, but like I said I didn't have the tools to make it as nicely as Anakats. I basically had to hand draw it all in. Of course it's a bit larger than a smiley. Here it is. What do you think of it?

I don't know that I have room for both of them on my C drive.

I also can't do the colour correction challenge, because the Photo Filtre is not available on 7 either.
Why don't you contact the company and ask for a new disk? I certainly would be if my new software was scratched.
Is the CS2 an upgrade of what you currently have?? That wouldn't take up as much room as a full version.
Maybe you can backup your hard drive before installing the new one?

My Photoshops Elements doesn't have all of the tools to properly do the challenge either.

I would also contact Adobe for another disk, that was an expensive gift your friend bought you, and should be perfect!

I 'cheated' making mine and used paint brushes etc because I am not a big fan of the pen tool etc

My friend will probably have to contact Adobe. It's not an upgrade it's the full program. I did use the Pen tool to create the ears on my cat, but I am just lousy with the pen tool. I know I should force myself to really learn to use it.

I was MOST looking forward to using the other challenge because I have come across so many pictures that are too yellowed or too blue, and no matter what I did trying to correct the colour, it just wouldn't come out looking right.

I don't think there's anyone else who uses PS7 but myself. These are actually the first Challenges you've put up, that I have not been able to do, at least according to the tutorials. I know PS7 is too advanced for those that are using 5, and I think there are a few people here that have 5. I actually have another program (a vector program) with the warp tool and I could probably jump between the 2 programs to do this tutorial.

Anyway, here's another try at a cartoon animated Simba (Bengal). How does this one look?

Probably because it isn't as advanced, I'd imagine. I honestly don't know anything about Elements. It looks like they do things a bit differently in elements. Do you remember the "fur" and long hair Tutorial we did? I know I used and Elements tutorial to do it, but there were a lot of things that were different in the way they added layers et et. I was able to figure it out and match to the Photoshop way, though.

I didn't realize CS2 was that different, aside from some more advanced tools et et. Was there a version between CS2 and 7? I know at the time I got 7, I was married and had a lot more money, and it was about $800. Previously I had 6, and I know there were some really nice advances from 6 to 7. Perhaps I should just try installing CS2 from the disc I have. It will probably work. I know it will mean adding all of the brushes, actions, and filters I have to the new version, and that takes a lot of time. Although I'm really looking forward to playing around with it.

Before you delete the old one, I would back up all the brushes, actions, filter, etc. just to be safe.
You don't want to lose them all. I am sure I have nowhere near as many as you and I would be so upset if I had to start downloading from scratch again.

CS came between 7 and CS2, like Karen said, make sure you do a back up of all your filters, actions and brushes etc before upgrading!

Yeah, I have all of my brushes (100's of them), saved in a folder, just as Brushes Downloaded, I have the same with Actions as well as filters. I've been collecting a lot of these since back when I had PS6. I just remember it's time consuming to re-install them on to the new program. I'll probably sit down one day, when I have some time to do all of that, and see if my CS2 installs OK, and then basically start all over.
