I may be jumping the gun here. But I want to get this boy out of here asap. If there is someone near here that can help, I will work out the details of getting ahold of him to get him to a new, better home.

Bo is a neighbor cat that has been banished outside because he is loaded with fleas. He is anemic, and I don't expect him to live long. His gums are white, the fleas are unbelievable. I gave him a bath, and fed him, but it is unfortunately the best I can do at this point. I have some frontline and capstar on it's way to me, and I will grab him next time I see him and get him treated for the fleas.

Several of the neighborhood brats are tormenting him. I saved him once but I'm not always around to play kitty defender, and until my current two find homes, I can't take in another. Evil kitty tormenter #1 was tossing this poor cat into the air, and catching him. Except once, she didn't catch him.( She was holding him by the back legs. She was flinging him around, throwing him into trash cans, all the while mushing on him and saying "I wuv kitty". Evil Kitty Tormenter #2 was "whipping" Bo because he didn't want to be held on his back. I couldn't take it. I finally had enough and gave them a talking to about how to treat the cat. I could see my words bouncing off of their thick skulls. So I told her to take the cat back to his owner and tell her that the kitten was going to die if she didn't keep it inside and get rid of those fleas.

Bo is safely in the house. For now.

He is very thin. I imagine this is due to lack of food, and probably a nasty case of worms. He is unneutered. I believe he spent at least kittenhood in a house, so hopefully he has a clue about litterboxes.

Personalitywise, I can say he is the most laid back cat I've ever seen. Unfortunately I think this is because he's too sick to be anything else.

If someone wants to take on this cat, I will get him.

Nevermind this post.

I let the cat "owner" know that I was getting some flea meds for the cat. She had a 7 year old girl come tell me that she could take care of her own cat, and I needed to mind my own business.

Clearly she's doing just fine with her anemic, half dead, flea ridden, sickly cat, and nobody can tell her otherwise, even when it's offered generously without any expense for her.

Then again, I guess we can't expect much more from a spineless witch that has a child relay her messages for her.

What I want to say, isn't forum appropriate.

I hate scum.

My heart is broken for that poor kitten! I cannot tolerate people who would treat a poor defenseless animal this way!!

She does not deserve to have that kitten. Please, please call.....

We don't HAVE a spca. We barely have a dog warden. Our humane society doesn't deal with cruelty cases. I'm basically stuck, and poor bo is screwed.

I've called on other people for worse (concerning dogs, so I was able to contact the dog warden) and nothing was done.

My only option now is to hope Bo can survive long enough to get out of the house and then I'll nab him.

I'm not opposed to theiving to save him.

Thanks for the link asecret. But....that's actually me. lol.

I signed up a long time ago, but don't really use save-a-pet anymore. They don't even have my updated email address on file though I've tried to change it several times.

Can you complain to the state ASPCA or the national one about the poor quality of care & attention that you've experienced w/ your local office? It seems unfair that good-hearted people like you are trying to do the right thing & get no support from an agency that's supposed to help.

I'm not sure. It seems most of the time, if an officer sees a food bowl, and a water bowl, that is good enough. No matter if the bowls are empty, surely they were full earlier, right??

If I ruled the world, every city/town/county would have an active ACO. And he would carry a gun. Ok ok, a taser at least.

And he would use it.
Often.

I wish I had something to report. Unfortunately I've not seen him nor has anybody else. And asking the "owner" at this point is out of the question. I'd throttle her.
