LOL
Seriously, I find myself missing my dreadlocks more and more these days.
Am I losing it? I haven't worn dreads since the late 80s

I've even been shopping online for dread kits as I'm quite certain I won't be able to find a salon around here with dread knowledge.

Be even when I had them, maintainance was such a pain, and my hair wasn't even as long as it is now, but I always hated waxing my new knots.
Still, it was easier to care for than long, straight and flyaway is.

*sigh*

hehe yep, got to be a mid life thing.
Hehe I've also kept my head completely bald in the past too

I've always been a bit daring with my hair(or without it?) for a girl

Good to see I'm not the only chick who ever went bald (ok, besides Sinead
)

I never had dreads... I always wanted them, but never got around to it. I do miss having my hair purple, blue, pink, etc... leopard spots was one of my favorites. It's one of the main reasons I loathe corporate jobs. There are plenty of other reasons of course, but this one is right up there at the top of the list.

I hope it's not a midlife crisis or else I'm not going to live very long

My boyfriend has dreads and it's an ongoing concern. When I have time I do the twisting for him. But it's hard to find the time. When the non-twisted hair starts to grow in, it always looks like an afro. Then there is the beeswax issue. Some brands of wax have a strange smell for example. Also, they are very hot in the heat of summer.

So if you miss your dreads think back to all the hassle that comes with them!
