I've noticed more and more lately that kids hairstyles are reverting back to the 80's.
I've seen alot of boys hairstyles being very shaggy. I mean in thier eyes, messy and looking like they just rolled out of bed and went out.
The girls are going beack to the Farrah Faucette styles..

Some of them are flat out horrible!

I kept thinking "No way my kids would have those!"

Until yesterday that is!

My 9yr old son got a mohawk!

It's actually kinda cute
But he came home from his dad's today with it being blue
Thank god it's not perm!

Now Deacon wants one but I dont think it would look good on him.

At least it's not shaggy

HAHA your such a cool mom for letting your son do that! If I had kids id let mine dye their hair any color they want, as long as its not permanent! lol.

I saw a guy the other day with the whole mullet-and-bowling-shirt thing going on -- it was great!
I have no problem with '80s hair, though I prefer the '60s Beatle cuts myself.

But anything -- and I mean anything -- is better than headshaving. No offense intended to anyone, but... I really think men look better with at least some hair.

I think some guys really pull that look off well. But, they have to be on the large side for it to look good, IMO.

I saw a whole family recently where all the kids had Mohawks, even the littlest guy who looked about 3. Sorry - I just donèt get how someone could do that to their kid.

Well it was his choice. He's going to be 10 in December and he's starting to want his own style. I don't mind him having it. It will grow out by the time school starts

Im charging the batteries for the camera now

Because its just hair....its not anything permanent. I hate when parents wont let their kids have some personal style just because THEY dont like it. Mohawks are cool
theres tons of other worse things they could be doing to their bodies.

It's a harmless way for kids to have control over something important to them - their looks. And, at ten, they really want to start having some control. Hair always grows out.

I have to agree on this one. I don't know why anyone would do that to their child--(Alycia, I know you didn't do it
)
I just don't like the way it makes a child look.

it starts out as hair, and then goes down hill from there. What else will the child think they need to get their way about?

And as far as parents not letting them get a certain hairstyle, that's because we are older and know what is appropriate/looks good and what isn't.
