I suggest you contact a rescue & list some of them as "courtesy postings". Basically, the rescue will list them for adoption while they still remain at your place. You need to decide who to keep & who to not. Essentially, this is gonna sound terrible, but keep the "unadoptables"....older, "boring" colors, not very friendly, etc.

There is a really good PDF called "How to find homes for homeless pets" that you can find here:

I'd love to help you out. I am in Indiana and I post courtesy listings on my website for free... it doesn't matter where you live. PM me and I'll send you my email address and website link, and I'll get a little info from you.

on top of that maybe try to keep them in pairs. I know there are some apartments that will allow 4 cats, I have 5 & usually say 4 as 1 is never seen anyways (way to go on me getting a new addition...my landlord doesn't care as long as we pay the rent and are good people). I know I did see the post, but how long did you have to move? where are you located? Also maybe say you are fostering until you find homes? good luck. So sorry you have to go through this, this often goes through my head "what if" and unfortunelty my 2 favs are the ones that would have the best luck in a new home.
