My kitten is almost 9 months and she is like my little shadow. She was a rescue from a shelter and although she's still a bit shy especially when we have guests, she seems to be pretty normal.

But then there is the poo thing. Everytime I go to use the bathroom she comes running and at first she just brushes against my leg but then she leaps into her litter box and goes. Every Single Time! Sometime it stinks so bad, I have to get out of there myself. But this is not about that...I can live with that. But why does she only go poo when I am in the bathroom?? Soemtimes she even jumps in and jumps back out when I am leaving without doing anything. When my fiance sues the bathroom she just rubs against him, but with me she gets VERY comfortable.

Any ideas?

Where whiskers abound.
Maybe pooing is better with company rather than going at it alone?

Sorta like eating dinner, more fun with people.

Your post is really funny!

In Steelers Country!
We don't have litter boxes in our bathrooms but our Gracie does the very same thing.
We call her the "Bathroom Monitor".

It doesn't matter who it is...could be one of us or it could be someone just visiting and the second someone makes a move towards any of the bathrooms Gracie is off like a shot beating the human to the bathroom.
She then rubs againest your legs and then sits right down in front of you and just stares.
Once you flush, she leaves.

I also have a kitty I refer to as "my little shadow". I keep the litter boxs in a closet in a spare room and almost every time while I'm trying to clean them out she will jump into one of them and take a piss.

Yours must produce an awful lot of poo if she is able to poo every time you use the toilet.

Almost every time either of us are in the bathroom, we have a "parade".

Maybe she just thinks she's supposed to go when you go

Well, so doesn't poo everytime I'm in there...but she definitely still 'pretends" to use it. The weird thing is I scoop twice a day, once in the morning after her regulated poo
and then when I get home from work. Now, she will only go poo again whenever I get home and go to use the bathroom or she will hold it until the following morning.

She's weird...but cute.

Oh and this is also a bit worrisome, because we are leaving to get married and we will be gone for 2 weeks in August. We have found someone to come stay at our place until we return...so I hope I don't return to a constipated kitty.

Uh oh, I guess you'll have to get a mannequin, dress it in your clothes and have the person who stays with her sit the mannequin on the toilet at once a day.

I thought it was just my guy who thought it appropriate to follow me into the bathroom and just watch like it's a show or something... he follows me everywhere else in the house too, like a puppy almost... Even if I try to lock him out of the bathroom, he'll scratch at the door until I let him in.

Funny story... I went away last November, and left the bathroom door shut... he tore at the door so bad it's damaged, and my mother would have to open the door and let him into the bathroom when she was sitting for me to check things out when she came over to make him feel better. They are weird little creatures sometimes
