Does your home have a junk drawer?

What is the last thing you put in there? When was the last time you actually cleaned it out & organized it?

I had one, and just recently cleaned it out- there was so much.... junk in there!

We have two, one for regular junk and one for 'paper' junk (take out menus, phone books, address books, writing paper etc)

The last think I put in the regular junk drawer was my hair straightener because I was doing my hair in the living room and Boomer was having a time out in the bathroom and I didn't want to let him loose again.

The paper drawer is fairly organised and the last thing I put in there was my address book after mailing something to my sister and needing her post code

Yes. Several junk drawers. They are pretty organized. But its all junk. Some of it we may need but most of it hasn't been touched in like 2 years!!

Yup. keep all things like cell phone chargers, batteries, Canadian Tire money, etc in there. I was in it on Monday to get out my cheque book to write some cheques for daycare.

I can't even remember the last time I cleaned it out. Maybe when we moved in about 10 years ago?

We have two junk drawers.

1. Is for junk. (a drawer in the kitchen)
2. Is for the phonebooks,etc (it's actually a cupboard in the kitchen!)

We don't clean them out, unless we're moving.

One junk drawer. It's surprisingly organized, but only because you happened to ask this a week after I went on an "I can't take this anymore!" crazy cleaning binge

The last thing I put in there was the tape measure.

I think every drawer in my house is a junk drawer! The silverware drawer has a collection of wine bottle corks growing in the corner, the cooking utinsel drawer has a collection of Glade and Air Wick scented oils in it, the towel drawer has rubber bands in it (don't know why...), I really do need to clean them out.

The last thing I put into the junk drawer was a pair of scissors. The last time I cleaned the drawers out.....I'm sure it hasn't been in this decade.....I honestly don't remember when (or even if... )

Jon and I each have our own in our night-stands that we fill up with the junk that is strictly ours... Then there are 3 next to the computer desk... They started off as organized drawers for pens, cds, etc. but soon became the place we put all our junk we didnt know what to do with... They get cleaned probably once or twice a year... Now I feel like I need to make it my next rainy day project along with the closets!

Umm-one junk drawer?? NOOOO! A few junk drawers, yeessss!!!

We have everything in our drawers!!! And the last thingI put in ours was, hmm-lemme think.....a bill or 2? Some air freshener plug ins, that are some extras.

You know, I've been thinking and now I need to change my previous answer. Lately our whole hose seems like a junk drawer - it is a blooming mess!

I cleaned it out awhile ago but thanks for reminding me to clean it out again. I just have a bunch of candy wrappers and stuff but it has jewelry in it that isn't junk.

I once gave a toastmaster's speech on this. Everybody I have ever known has a junk drawer. Some of us have several. Oddly, sometimes there is valuable stuff there that you have been "missing" for years.

Does your home have a junk drawer? I have a junk drawer for every room... and even a junk room (the basement... spoooooky down there).

What is the last thing you put in there? In the junk drawers: not sure... can't remember... along with needing to organize things I need Ginkoba...

Um... we cleaned the basement the last time it flooded due to a water softener bursting. It was real organized for a few weeks, but then stuff started trickling down there for 'filing' away.

I am organized electronically but when it comes to paper and stuff, forget about it!

My drawers are organized well enough....but my junk is everywhere else! Like the kitchen table! I don't have enough drawer space to have an actual junk drawer really.

I dont really have a junk draw. I try to stay pretty organized. Usually I just put junk down on the table and clean the table off once a week.

No- we don't have one. Instead we have a small little basket on our kitchen counter to put all of the things we want to just toss around when we walk through the door in. At the end of the week i go through it and completly empty it out and organize everything

I think you mean "does your home have a drawer that there ISN'T junk in"

I have a junk home

Literally in my kitchen, it is so random..one drawer has important papers, and my digital camera, USB cables..another has paper towels and chocolates..another has cat treats and more papers...etc...

I am the worst

The first few years I lived here I did not have a junk drawer. But a basket on top of my fridge kept filling up with junk so I gave up and made a junk drawer. Can't remember the last thing I put in it and I think I cleaned it out this past winter. It is mostly full of my husbands junk like tools he leaves out or screws or pieces of who knows what he needs for something.

We have several! We've got one dresser drawer full of stuff, four vanity drawers full of stuff, and our nightstand drawer is mostly organized but still full of junk! I try to go through them all every once in awhile and eliminate anything that we don't need anymore.
