I made a delicious berry upside down cake tonight and it's REALLY tasty and left it out on the counter to cool completely before I refrigerated it.

Well... I heard the sound of a cat eating something just before and didn't think much of it - figured they were eating their wet food. Then about 15 seconds later realised that it didn't sound like they were eating wet food... and Smudge NEVER leaves wet food so it could only be one thing...

I ran to the kitchen and Stumpy was at the cake and had just put her head up and raced off as soon as she saw me!
I have no idea which piece she was eating or how much.

Soooo..... I'm trying to decide how much I care...
What's worse - a bit of cat lick, or throwing away a full delicious cake that ended up taking ages to make?

Yeah Stumpy seemed to be enjoying it... she jumped onto the ground afterwards and sat there licking her lips, and cleaning her face nonchalantly

Yeah I've put it in the fridge. Not knowing which piece it was makes it a little easier.

I would definately eat it

Do you kiss your kitties on the nose? or mouth? Cause if you do, you may as well eat the cake!

I would eat it too
I give them kisses on their little nose or mouth, plus I let them lick my spoon and Abby loves to lick the yogurt off of my granola bars. Now if I saw one of them sitting or walking on it, that would be different. But a bit of kitty spit never killed anyone
Besides, they don't care how many times you double dipped your spoon when they are drinking the last of the milk in your cereal bowl

Considering how much cat hair I probably eat, a little spit won't hurt either.
Although if I knew which piece it was I'd probably trim it off.

Considering that Gabby likes to lick my lips after I eat (the little pig) I wouldn't have a problem with it. Plus after all of that hard work.....it shouldn't go to waste.

I would eat it, there are worse things than kitty lick

I am a little paranoid about my food.
Then I hope you never eat in restaurants.
If you really saw what went on behind the scenes in some of them you would never eat out again.

I agree. Bijou licks my nose and face so why not my cake.

Roxie is always licking my spoon, plate, etc.

It used to bug me at first but not anymore! If I threw away all the food she licked I would definately be starving and poor!!!
