He is about 4.5 Months old. His eyes are not VERY green, but you see hints of green. Will his eyes become more emerald green with age? He is entirely blue with ghost circles on his tail. His tail is quite long, and his limbs quite long. Very agile and smart.

I am in Taiwan, and heard that Russian Blues are rare. I know his parents are from Japan. Just want u guys to look at the pic and let me know what u think.

He looks like an RB, ghost patterns are common on RB kittens they should fade with time.
Over here the eyes are allowed to be various shades of green, not just emerald. As long as there is no yellow tone to the eyes.

he seems to have a gold outer ring with a green center. Is it true it will get greener with age?

I'm not an expert on russian blues but my green eyed bengal started out with more hazel/yellowy eyes and then they've gotten greener as she aged.

Photographic evidence:

The top two are her as a kitten, bottom two her eyes now. The exact colour of green in her eyes changes with the quality of the light.

The eye color is typical of a RB kitten at that age. His eye color should get more green as he gets older. I would say its a very good possiblity of being a RB. More of the "English" type - not the American type tho. American RB's have a wider ear set and more rounded face.

RBs often have a look to them, because of the set of their mouth, as if they are smiling enigmatically. You can really see that looking at the picture of Stoli in Renovia's signature, that upward curve at the sides of the mouth, it always looks to me as if he is holding in some secret gossip
Ghost tabby markings are common in lots of breeds of otherwise solid coloured cats when they are young.

You have a very beautiful cat whatever breed he may be

Yeah. But it is typical for the RB of american type. The european type dont have this. And the males of Scandinavian type should preferably look mean (=threatingly). - This is of course only the look. they are almost always very gentle and mild both to humans and their wifes...

There ARE some RB breeders in Japan. So his Japan ancestry doesnt talk against him being a probable pure RB. I think he is. Not necessary "top quality" but a lovably nice RB.
