Ooooh I've found something!!! Fruity upside down cake! The recipe wants plum and blueberries, but I've only got fresh fruit or frozen berries, so I'll just go with the frozen berries I think.

Oooh, that sounds great! One time when I had just such an urge, I decided to make cookies -- but it turned out I had no flour, just cornmeal. Made 'em anyway, cornmeal and sugar and a pinch of salt and some baking powder, creamed with butter, plus some walnuts and a little milk, 350 F... they were VERY, VERY CRUNCHY.
But good!

Uh oh... I had to double the batter to cover the fruit.... how much longer do I need to bake it for? It said 45 minutes, which is finished, but it's still very uncooked, so I'm obviously doing it for longer.

Does double the batter mean double the cooking time?

as far as i can tell it means spread half the batter on the bottom, place your fruit in, then spread the other half over the top

The fruit is definitely supposed to be on the very bottom - so when you turn it upside down once it's cooked the fruit is on top. I think I just used a bigger pan that the recipe.

So I just cooked it until a fork poked in came out clean, and it's YUMMYYYYY!!!!

Well I read this too late to be helpful, but here's a recipe anyway. It's one of the few not really from scratch things I'll make 'cause it turns out so nicely.

Make or buy a graham cracker crust, mix one 8 oz. carton of good quality yoghurt with fruit with a small container of cool whip (only time I'll use the stuff), and place in crust, top with some real fruit to match what was in the yoghurt, and chill.

My favorite version was to use a chocolate graham cracker crust, raspberry yoghurt, then put fresh raspberries and shaved chocolate curls on top just before serving.
