Since i brought Sace and Uno home, i know cats will miss their mom jsut like any animal. Since they made their *den* in my bedroom, i feed them just outside the room, next to my washer where there litter is also.

well, i felt bad for them, cause my bedroom gets HOT during the day, and its been 90+ around here lately. So what do i do, turn the a/c on the bedroom for the cats!

i think SUCKER is in play here as well, lol

We do spoil them don't we.

BTW - I wouldn't feed them beside the litter box. It's usually best to keep their food and water in a different area than their litter.

im going to change their areas tonight, but with them being scared of PRUE, thats the only place they would eat at, so i left it to them. i think tonight imma clean out the bottom of my closet and put there food and water there.

or should i put it out in the kitchen, so they eventually have to wander out there? Prue is in the spare bathroom, so they wont see her.

The kitchen would make it easier for you, which is a novel idea, hm?

I started out with food in the bedroom when mine were little, but the catfood smell bothered me during the night... and in your closet, it might even permeate your clothes! I vote kitchen.

Eh, I don't think putting there food in the kitchen is a bad idea either. Most kitties are super curious anyways, so I am sure they wont mind much. Just make sure that after you move their stuff around, you show both kitties where their stuff has been relocated, you wouldn't want to inconvience them!

Hehe, "spolied," NO WAY! But well taken care of? YESHH!

well i tried,lol.

i put their food and water in the kitchen, and brought them out to see. i turned OFF the a/c in the bedroom, and the fan, so maybe it would be a kick in the butt to come out into the a/c in the livingroom. no go, once i put them down, the dog looked at them sideways, and that sent them packing BACK to the hot bedroom. silly cats!!!

I hope they get smart enough to come out here at some point. i did leave the litter box back there, only cause thats where it was all the time.

Introducing new cats into your household where other animals already exist is not as easy as just "throwing" them into the mix and assuming all will work out well.

I don't know how long you've had the new kitties home, but they and your existing animals need a slow introduction (generally). When Mika came to us we kept her and Bijou separated for a full month, except for supervised visits.

You may want to allow them their escape into your bedroom and perhaps carry them out, hold them around the other animals so they feel secure, let the others smell them to get used to them. If they get too frightened to eat that could be dangerous. If they go without food for a couple of days they can go into liver failure and that's not good.

they were introduced last week. i didnt have a spare room, so i got my oversized dog kennel, and let them stay in there for a while (a week). they were to the point no one bothered each other, so i let them out. they decided they liked my bedroom is all. they didnt hiss or spit at the dog, jsut didnt want to be near him. i figured if i move there food closer to everything else, there intense want to be with me might bring them out a bit more.
