I've posted a few pictures of these kitties on a thread in the cat lounge.

They're brother/sister, almost 6 weeks old. They're not *QUITE* ready to go yet, but I wanted to put them out there now, and maybe get them lined up for homes ahead of time. They won't be ready until the little boy's eye is clear and they are eating hard foods with ease and consistency on their own.

They're eating canned foods, and now thanks to cat attract, using the litter box.

They're former feral kitties, but are absolutely clingy now.
They love me and try to climb my legs for me to hold them, which is less than pleasant during shorts season but I still take it as a compliment.

I'm located halfway between cleveland and columbus ohio. I'm not doing any transporting for the time being, so if someone is interested arrangements should be made to pick up either in Ashland or Mansfield.

At the risk of jinxing it, I may also be adding a black and white 3-4 week old kitten to my babies tomorrow.

I'll have more information hopefully tomorrow.

I wish I could help since I am so close. But, I am physically not able to due to my son and his health.
I will say some prayers that they both find their forever homes soon though.

crittermom.... you're close to Ashland? Not too often I come across someone local, or even close to it.

I'm not sure about the B&W kitten now. I'm slightly frustrated, as this woman emailed me directly wanting to know if I would take it. It is 3-4 weeks old. I said yes, even though I'm technically at capacity, I would take it. I didn't hear back from her. But now she has posted the kitten on the local freecycle.
Poor kitty.

I don't understand people. I don't have a BIG problem with freecycle, as long as it is done CAREFULLY. But to freecycle a 3-4 week baby?

*sigh*

I am actually in West Virginia. But, right on the borders of Ohio and Kentucky. So, I am pretty close to you.
I would take one of your babies, but I can't.My youngest son had to have surgury for Pleural Effusion and we can't have any critters inside with strong ammoinia smell.......ie:cats,hampsters,ferrets,etc.
Right now, we are trying to figure out how we are going to get through Winter even.He can't be around wood smoke, etc.

as for the kitties, I pray that new homes are found for all of them!!!

Crittermom.... I'm waaaaaay up by cleveland.
Actually, about an hour south of Cleveland. But not very close to KY.

It sounds like you've got your hands full with your son. I hope you're able to figure out something to make life easier, especially for the winter.

I didn't get the 3-4 week abandoned kitten, the woman emailed me and said he died.
After seeing him posted on freecycle, I question that story. But nothing I can do about it now.

These two are still looking for a home.

I would love to have one of your kittens. I too live in Ashland. Would I be able to come see them?

This post is from 2007.
We'll go ahead and lock it now so others won't think it's a current thread.
