Do you grind it up, or feed it whole? If you feed it whole, how do you keep the kitties from just dragging it all over the place?

I grind it up, because that's what they are willing to eat reliably.

When I give them whole things, they do drag it around...so I don't have a good answer for that one.

Raw. And I use a large dinner plate (with a rim) to feed him. After he finishes his meal I wipe the surrounding floor area with a dilute mixture of water and disinfectant handwash.

I make up a raw mix with cubes/chunks of meat, he doesn't drag that around. The chicken necks or wings I feed on a bath towel, he's learnt not to take them off the towel.

I feed a ground-up RAW, though I once tried giving the kitties a whole fish (once it was a raw fish head, another time it was whole mackerel from Evangers). They didn't go for it, they picked at the mackerel and they wouldn't touch the fish. I one let Molly check out a raw beef rib that I was about to give Jake, and she licked it a bit but nothing else (granted, it was frozen...). And once I gave them raw chicken feet and they just licked them all over and left (these were thawed this time). They just don't know what to do with food that has skin, but maybe sometime in the future they'll figure it out. For now, I'm happy that they're eating the ground up stuff, lol

I feed both, but mostly ground up. When they do get whole pieces, I feed it to them right on the floor (I've given up on trying to make them keep it in a dish), then wash the area they've eaten on with a vinegar solution when they're done.

They know at least not to move onto carpet, they stick to the tile!
