We just adopted a new 1 year old kitty a week ago today. He`s been "full of it" all week until today. He`s slept most of the day and keeps shaking his head when I pet his ears. I`ve heard him sneeze a couple of times...and he`s been scratching his neck several times.
We took him to the vet the day we got him and he said he did`nt have ear mites, worms or fleas. He did get his indoor kitty shots, but I`d have thought he`d have had a reaction to them way before now if he was going to.
Could he be getting sick...or am I just being overly protective?
He`s eating , drinking and using the litter just fine.
Thanks for any info or input.

It sounds to me like he might have an upper respiratory infection. Scratching his neck might mean his throat is itchy or sore. I usually take mine to the vet if they're sneezing or acting under the weather like that.

Thank you for a quick response, Kluchetta.
I was wondering just that very thing.
If he`s still acting this way in the morning I`m going to take him in.
I don`t know if that`s something that is a virus....or if he`s just not used to our central air. (If it`s possible that could cause it)
