Has anyone used these? I've got a couple of kitten bottles but none of them have holes so my dh poked a hole using a pin but nothing came out. I tried several different tools to make the holes and had no success. Is there a trick to this.

The bottles ARE tricky. Ideally you want the milk to start dribbling out when you turn the bottle upside down. I tried the pin and had no luck, so I cut an little X on the top with a sharp knife. You want the flow to be really good so the kittens can get filled up quickly and don't get frustrated with a slow flow.

I used the cheapest bottles i could get and bought the kmr nipples(6 pack of the ones that are just a bit longer then the standard) it was by far the nipple of choice

That's exactly what I had to do. I had tried the pin and poked several holes in it but that still didn't seem to be working. So a small X helped out a whole lot. But, keep an eye on the end too before feeding, if the little flaps look like they are starting to be really flimsy or might tear off, make sure you get a new nipple so that it doesn't come off while the baby is eatting.

I bought a "Hartz* brand bottle, and I had to cut an X in the nipple. My only problem with it was that the numbers on the side wore off so it was all guess work. But I have been using it for 2 weeks and so far so good. It also worked if you start mixing baby food with the formula. The hole is big enough to let it go through.
