I really Hate People Sometimes!

That's a horrible story if it's really true. I have a bit of a hard time believing any cat, especially a stray/feral will stick around while some boys pummel it.

The instant the cat is "tossed" or kicked she will be all claws and slashing her way out of there while she runs for cover.

There must be more to the story.

Not trying to be an advocate for the boys, but something doesn't sound right.

That is so cruel and inhumane! I always believe that whatever the person does, deserves the same cruel fate! How else will they ever value another life if they do not fear the consequences themselves? If it is true I hope they do press charges and hope it is more than a fine.
I hope the babies make it ok. Poor little things...without a mom.

It scares me to death what children are capable of. The ugliness and cruelty they see glamorized all around them these days... I really fear they become desensitized to any suffering but their own.

I thank heaven my nephew has had our cats as an influence since he was just a little guy. He has become a cool dude now at the age of nine, heavily influenced by a lot of the wrong things, sadly -- but the moment he lays eyes on a cat, his voice goes all soft and his eyes get melty and he starts talking the sweetest, most loving babytalk to the kitty. So at least in this regard, I know he's going to be all right.

Sending love and light for that poor mama cat, and for her kittens...

That is unbelievable. I can't imagine. I am sorry that you had to go through that. I am speechless...

I dont know. Thats what the old women said she saw. We can only go by that. Im guessing your right though. Maybe she came in after the cat had already died and they were just playing around with it. But all we know is the mama cat is dead and the boys were the last ones with her. BTW they x-rayed her and her neck was broken she also had major internal bleeding. The kittens are doing fine and are in a foster home. Ive been wondering why a cat would let the boys toss her around too I know my fosters would fight with everything they had. BTW she wasnt feral. She obviously used to be someone elses pet. She was all four pawed declawed. So she couldnt scratch them but she could definatly bite. We havnt seen the boys so maybe she did bite them.

It is also possible that she was knocked unconscious very quickly and unable to defend herself.

Tragic story, even if it is a little flawed.

Yes, they could have broken her neck soon and then kept hurting her therefore internal bleeding. The poor little girl. What lovely adults these little monsters are going to make.

I truly hope someone pushes the punishment through. Someone needs to stand up to those bullies now or someday they will believe it is okay to treat humans the same way.

Sebastian came from a home with children who tossed him around like a stuffed toy. It is a miracle he is alive.

Well the lady said she showed up around 3 weeks ago then she got skinny after a week. So we are guessing around 2 weeks but they look awfully small for that age. But their eyes are open. One of them has a little abcess on his tummy but seems to be doing ok. Last I heard all but one is taking to the bottle well. So they are doing pretty well.

How disgusting!!!

If those kids did that then I hope someone really hurts them whilst they are serving a long time in prison

OMG, that makes me SO furious!! Since when did kids turn into such little psychos!?

Please keep us updated on this situation, those boys are cruel, and the really sad thing is nothing will probably happen to them. And the parents will probably think that the boys did nothing wrong either.

That is absolutely horrid. Maybe the momma cat didn't run as she had the kits nearby? There is a special place you know where for people as horrible as those boys. That poor lady must be devastated! I can't even imagine seeing something like that.

What those kids need are counseling....it is sad, but obviously they are getting morbid ideas on how to treat animals...imagine their disregard for other PEOPLE! Children like this grow up to be killers. These kids need help. and as angry as this story has made me, and as much as I'd like to give those boys a good beating too, that promotes nothing but more violence. They obviously are not being raised properly. I truly hope an investigation into the matter has been started, and that the boys get the proper treatment they need...whether they killed the cat or not...playing w/ dead animals, I mean, come on!

right there too, I'd be in jail for what I'd do to them. Not much gets me mad but when it comes to animals
