It's my favorite tournament. I'll watch the AUSTRALIAN and the French if I can remember to watch, but I never miss Wimbledon if I can. Of course, there's already been a couple of rain delays on the opening day, but I'm enjoying the matches. My favorite players are Serena Williams and Roger Federson (SP?).

Roger Federer I think you mean- I find mens tennis extremely boring tbh, its all in the serve rather than the rally...

Nice to see Martina Hingis win

I'm suprised that so many games have taken place considering a lot of England has faced flooding

Wishing I were anywhere but here
I used to be really into watching tennis, but since I don't play that often anymore, I don't watch as often. Since Steffi Graf retired I have lost a lot of interest because I don't care for any of the new ones. The women display themselves more as models than athletes and some really need an attitude ajustment.

Tim Henmans back on court after all that rain yesterday - just lost the 1st set 6-7
Federers thrashed his opponent
as expected !

Poor Nadal is still waiting to get on court, too many delays & catch ups after yesterdays rain

HUH ! well what a big surprise Henmans OUT ! good game though - I'm pleased as Lopez is a Spanish player - looks like there'll be a few Spanish in this year
Juan Carlos Ferrero is doing OK and through the 2nd round and of course we'll have Nadal dong his bit soon

Big fan here! I love the Williams sisters, and Roger Federer. I also like Rafael Nadal, he is yummy.

Venus Williams defeats Maria Sharapova!

We have some friends who are staying with us, who are in their early to mid sixties I suppose, and they are both serious tennis competitors. In fact, Sue and her tennis buddy just won the Senior Tennis Championships, or some title similar to that. She is really good! I like to watch the women's though, the athletic ability and dead-on aim often astounds me...

Roger Federer is such a boring player. He has skill, but he does not have a lot of character. You should see Marat Safin when he misses a serve! I would hate to be his tennis racket. Concerning the match between S. Williams and J. Henin. Serena has finally met her equal in this nerve racking match. My final though is on the Venus versus Maria match, and the three speakers which make annoying comments during every tennis event. Sharapova's double faults cost her the game. Not enough focus. Her own screams distracted her more than her opponent. The three speakers which narrate the whole match can get annoying at times. At the beggining of Wimbledon, Serena played against the Venezuelan Sequera. When Sequera started losing, one of the speakers said it was going to be a slaughter for Williams. Why can't they they keep these crappy comments to themselves?
Probably just to say something so they don't appear stupid.

I don't like tennis. I don't understand it and I find the consant grunts and groans to be very distracting. I have tried watching it many times but I still don't get it.

RATS! Serena lost! And I've never liked liked Justine Hinman or however you spell her last name. I wonder if Venus can go all the way to the finals?

They should let John McEnroe narrate every match for Wimbledon.
Now that would be a show I won't miss! He'll probably throw a temper tantrum on the microphone!
What a guy!

He does commentate for the BBC, not for all of the matches but for a good part of them ! and he is very professional and respected - he knows a thing or two about the game

How happy am I then ! ! not only did Federer and Nadal win their matches
but Pierce Brosnan was in the Royal Box

I have a hard time taking McEnroe seriously when he throws tantrums and pouts down over a missed serve. He is 48 years old too! I always liked Bjorn Borg better than him anyways. Federer is the next Borg in my opinion.
