I mean, c'mon! She weighs about 1.5 lbs, and is about 8 inches long... My bed is a double...

How the heck can she take up the whole darned bed?!

Anybody?

I didn't think so.

She charges in there like, "Make way for the Princess Zo-Zo!" (our nickname for Zoey.) So I put her on her blanket that is by my pillow and the mound of stuffed animals and she falls asleep. I'll wake up sometime during the night and she will be stretched out across my belly. Well, I mean, I have to roll over, so I gingerly do so.

The Princess awakens.

I apologize.

She swats me in the face.

She'll curl up by my neck and 10 minutes later, I have to roll again.

I squish her tail.

She yowls.

And bites my ear.

And then she can't find a good position. She'll yowl and chase her tail and pounce on my hair until I move so she can get comfortable. It's like no matter where I am, she isn't comfortable with it! So I'll scootch and she gets all nice and comfy, and then I have to move (I think I suffer from RLS) and it starts allllll over again...

Sometimes this only happens once or twice a night... sometimes it will go on for an hour at night until she finally finds a comfortable position where I can sleep in peace as well... I'm not a very quiet sleeper. I have to toss and turn... Mum used to joke, when I was little, that sleeping with me was like "sleeping with Chuck Norris".

Does anybody else here endure uncomfortable nights due to sleeping with their precious kitties?

Awwww! She can't help being annoying sometimes, but they make up for it with their kindness!

I dont have a problem with the cats, but my puppy Luke is terrible to sleep with. And on topp of taking up all the blankets, stretching across the queen sized bed so I can barely fit, he kicks at night when he has dreams. Its terrible. I ended up sleepping on the floor last night because someone pushed me off.

[font= "Comic Sans MS"]When Tucker (my Beagle) was a puppy, he was great to sleep with! He slept at the foot of my bed allllll night and never woke me up... At 5:00 in the morning I would wake up and I'd pull him up to my chest and cuddle him.

But Zoey has to be int he perfect position, meaning I have to move in order for her to aquire this. Sometimes she'll be sweet and cuddle up to my neck, but when I have to move, it's "HEY! Hiiiiisssss!" But Princess Pickle, you are right, she makes up for it by being sweet.... She has like split personalities though! There's her complete evil side, and her adorable sweet side.

I didn't realize how lucky I was! And here I have been complaining that Alley sleeps on my chest.

Try it with three....

although mine, admittedly, are less-demanding. Chili's happy if she's touching mommy, Emma's happy if she's NOT touching mommy, and Tom just doesn't want to get kicked. We usually do pretty well.

Sassy likes to share my pillow so he is pretty good about not getting in the way. Linus however has decided lately that the best place to sleep is pressed up against my back as close as possible. This would not be so bad except it has been about 95 degrees the last few nights, not the type of nights you need a cat the temperature of a hot water bottle pressed against your back.
And of coarse if I insist that he moves it's a total insult to all catdom and I am his target for torture for at least a few hours..
I haven't quite resorted to moving to the couch yet, but who knows what the future holds...
