Does anyone have experience with this?

For the last week Gypsy hasn't been herself. I think she may be have an allergic reaction to flea bites, so I'm going to take her to the vet. She won't stop itching and scratching, even though I've given her her flea meds.

Today, she started this thing where she won't walk on the floor. She'll stare at it for a few minutes, and then try to hop from furniture to furniture to get where she's going. If she HAS to use the floor, she skitters around the edge of the wall like she's afraid of something. I have hardwood floors in 80% of my house, so I don't think I could have a big flea infestation. Personally, I've only seen two fleas in the last week, and that was before I gave her her flea meds. Is she seeing something I'm not seeing or is she being paranoid??

I know you don't think it could be fleas, but the only time I've seen cats act like that is because of fleas.
It could just be a remembered thing for her though.

If you want to be safe, treat her for the fleas, then seclude her in a room and treat the floors with borax.
Just sprinkle it, let it sit 24 hours then vaccum.
Borax is safe, but you still don't want her to ingest it.
What it does is it will completely dehydrates and kills fleas in all life stages.

I am having the exact same problem! My cat and I when to visit my family over the weekend (where he spent time outside). When we returned to my apartment I gave him his flea medicine (frontline plus) and then all of the weird behaviors started!

Keep me posted on anything you find out!
