Sucking helium out of balloons? LOL!

Fess up~ How many of us have done this??? I was just reading a article and so thought I would post about it!!
I get quite a kick out of doing it I guess...
Soooo, have any of you ever done this??

I have done it in the past, but I learned it can be dangerous so I don't do it anymore.

Too much like huffing.

i have done it before at parties and stuff, its to fun, especially after a few drinks to hear that voice, i always end up laughin my butt off!,lol

yes iv done this, my partner is going on about getting helium for the wedding bolloons, he only wants it to play silly buggers.

I used to work at a flower shop where one of the main things we sold were helium balloons
i'll leave it at that
(once i knew it was bad though i never did it again!)

LOLLLLLLL ive done it, like in the past if I got a balloon with gifts and it had helium id break a hole in it and sound like alvin the chipmunk LOL I know its not good for you......but hows it bad exactly? What happens?

Helium isn't really good for the body, true. But taking a breath or two of it from a party balloon won't kill you. The worse that will happen is you will get light headed and pass out.

Now, large helium balloons that float in the sky, or helium tanks...that's different.

I don't do it and my children have been warned to not ever do it.It can and does kill brain cells.

I've done it, and will still do it if I get a helium balloon. A few breaths won't hurt you...now if you start taking the helium straight from the tank, yeah that's not good! I know one person that has taken it straight from the tank and he got really sick. Tanks are pressurized and put more in your lungs than you can take. Taking it from a balloon once in a while, I doubt that would hurt you.

But when DH did it last time and said that famous quote from TopGuns "take me to bed or lose me forever" sounding like mickey mouse, I just lost it!!
It's fun to play with now and then, but not everyday.

Yeah, it is quite funny to hear...but not all the time, no!
