On behalf of twstychik Meaghan (who thinks attending her own wedding is more important than being on TCS
)

Congratulations Heather, you are the Spotlight of the Week!

Here's Meaghan's questions, as she's hopefully otherwise occupied right now...

Do you enjoy being in the spotlight? (here and IRL)

If you could be one person for a day who would you be and why?

What's one thing about you no one would expect?

Yes, unless it's something that I'm in trouble for and then I'm looking for a dark corner....

Hmm, I think if I could be one person for a day it would be Joan of Arc, even though she was a martyr and and I'm non-religious, I just think her devotion and heroism was phenomenal.

Hmm, well, I'm not entirely sure that no one would expect it, but I'm a sucker for helping the "helpless" entities... people, animals, homeless.. turtles crossing the road.. I swerve to miss catapillars and frogs and such on the road.

6. Single.
7. One son, who lives with his adopted family. He's lived there since he was four days old.
8. Hair color is naturally brown, but has been blonde and is currently red.
9. Heh, see above answer.

10. I've been going through a lot of different reds over the past several years.

Ahh, that's okay. I'm pretty open, so you can ask away.. I doubt that anything you can ask appropriately in the Cat Lounge is going to offend me.

I haven't ever been to Mexico, but I would like to visit sometime soon.. as well as many other Latin American countries.

Well, I'm not sure if I have a preference but the first place I'm probably going to get to is Tiajuana, since it's the closest. I would like to go to Cancun, though.

Hablo espanol un poquito. Necessito practicar muchas mas.

I do not have any Spanish or Latin cds, but I do enjoy Flamenco and Latin music.

I have attempted to, and have watched the Spanish channel in an attempt to learn Spanish better.. I did attempt to watch Zorro hoping that my familiarity with the movie would help me to make the translations (no luck on that).

Love fajitas, tacos, soft tacos, chimichangas, spanish rice, quesadillas.. fried plaintains... eh.. yucca is interesting but not a favorite.

I like Tequila.. every once in a great while we'll get to drinking straight tequila, but usually it's in a margarita.

I have slept in a hammock, but not since I was really young and we lived on a farm.

I've seen them, or replicas of them, but not someone wearing traditional clothing.

That probably depends on where/when it is or the particular point in my life, but being asked right now, it would be to stay at home with my kitties, being independantly wealthy, and using my free time to workout and do volunteer work with rescue animals.

Hmm..I love Blondie sundays, tiramisu, creme de caramel or flan, flavored cheesecake.. I don't know that I could actually pick a favorite out of those.

Anywhere from zero to four. It's entirely dependant on their mood swings.

Well, that all depends.. Noel probably has the closest personality to mine.. as her moods will mirror mine. The rest are all individual characters.

You hear a knock at your front door. You answer it and there stands the celebrity of your dreams!
Who is it? Any special
plans for them?

Right at this moment, probably in jail for murdering the attorney I work for. If you ask me in 20 minutes, I hope to be working from home, with a home-based business, living somewhere I can afford to put money away (or making enough I can do that here), either way.. I'd actually like to be buying a home and potentially breeding cats, but I'm sort of unsure about that and I have to do a lot more research.

But I do have interest in spinning. I read a lot, and watch too much TV. Playing with the kitties and keeping those little demons fed takes all up the rest of the time.

Yes, but none of them have been my fault.

Hmm.. none of them absolutely flip me out, but of course, I'd be nervous like.. if I were walking in the wilderness and came across a bear, wolf, tiger, lion.. something bigger than me and a predator, but I can't say that any of them set off any absolute sense of overwhelming fear or anything. I can't actually think of anything that would do that.. now, I do NOT like silverfish, roaches, maggots or flies. I guess I'd be more leery of a shark than any land-based predator, but one of the things I would like to do is go down in a shark cage.

I'd go to Australia and New Zealand, Spain, Wales (the UK in general), Latin America, on an African Safari, and a whole bunch of wildlife/nature cruises/trips.

Hehe. Hmm, well, I have a soft spot for a few of them...and a few dreams might include more than one..

I like Matthew McConnaughy (sp?), Johnny Depp, Orlando, Antonio Banderas, the man whose name I can't remember but he played Michael Vaughn on Alias..

Ohh, I could have lots of plans
The ultimate goal, of course, would be to steal their heart.

I haven't been to the UK yet, although, we keep planning trips to come over during the summer solstice and go to the festival at Stonehenge, but we haven't made it yet.

I haven't tried Marmite or Yorkshire Pudding. I used to bartend, though, so I have tried gin and tonic and I am not fond of gin.

Um, I'm not sure who either of them are, tbh. I looked them up and I'm not familiar with their work?

Somewhere between 5 and 20 million, which, according to all the websites, is difficult to determine. Which is to say, that his actions, direct/indirectly, led to the overall numbers above. (HEY!!! This isn't supposed to be WORK!!!)

Depends on what genre.. I'll just list my top favorites.. LoTR (all three), all the Harry Potters, Dead Poets Society, Contact, Narnia, A Few Good Men.. and.. well, I'm sure there's others.. but..

Definitely Rolling Stones, but I do have a soft spot for Let It Be.

Ever heard the song, "Dear Boss" ? Personally, I just say, "I'm not feeling well. I'll see you tomorrow." and leave it at that, but I do want to use the Dear Boss excuse one day. It's about half way down the page here: http://www.eirefirst.com/d.html#d130

And she is a bit more conservative than I like. I may actually consider Gulliani a decent choice if the replublicans win. I don't think I'd be completely unhappy with him.

How long have you been married and is this what you're getting for her or what you want to receive? Hehe, boy, that's a loaded question!

Thanks for your answers- I think your guess on Stalin was way out but at least you chose the Rolling Stones. Thanks for the song lyrics but as I don't work in construction I don't think its that relevant.

Seriously, I just tell them I'm not feeling well, and leave it at that. I don't work in construction either, but I'm still going to use that excuse one day. It's just too good not to use, even if it just makes them laugh.

The Stalin answer came from wikipedia but was also stated on several other websites, but that was not necessarily direct results of his actions (according to them), some of that was indirect. Personally, I'm not much of a history buff so I have to go by whatever I can research.

Academics have argued over the answer for years so I wouldn't worry- for the next person I might just throw in some math
