Ooh, the black caterpillars in FL love them too! I don't know what exactly they are but they eat the flower petals.
Aw, I wonder if it affects them like catnip? Or they like the smell?

That is crazy!! They all had to go check them out, huh?
Well, of course. they only give them a sniff though. there don't seem to be any magic properties. I don't leave them with the flowers unsupervised though. One toss and tumble and they could knock the whole thing over.

Maybe it`s because they smell of outdoorsy things?
Or they`re just raving mad
I know with Spike, it is the outdoors. HE was rescued off the streets, during a bitter cold winter, but he still longs for the great outdoors. I tell him he can go out in around 10 years with me, when he is to old to go too far. Poor baby, but I know the dangers and don't want to take the risk. And I am not willing to do the leash, or enclosure, because then his occasional longing yeow to go out, will become a demanding, persistent, annoying scream.

Beautiful Flowers! Hydrangea's are my favorite. They were my wedding flower.
