Well, out of the echoing caverns of my brain the term fibrissae comes to mind. Will have to double check.

They are called vibrissae

I think he's having posting problems, going by the edit of the thread starter. A couple of people using the very latest Internet Explorer version have been experiencing a few problems since vBulletin was updated here. That's being worked on.

Hmmm I could read the post fine before, and obviously Jan and Jenny could too as they answered.

I could, too, but it has obviously been edited. I wonder what the problem is?

As far as I know, the problem is only with the IMG button / weblink button not actual posts and you can still type in the IMG/URL code to make them work fine

I guess we'll have to wait for him to clarify.

Not only has my broadband went out, everything seems to have cleared. I have spend the day totally unwiring and replugging up my computer. Things appear to be OK now. ??? However, my History File shows that I sent you 492 points so I am going to assume you have it. ????

My siggy disappeared, too. This is not the way I wanted to start day one of the new KatKwiz.

I probably screwed everything up trying to get my computer back working normal and pushed and played with things I should not have. Which it is not, I am on dialup but let's see if this messages goes...

My siggy is back.

Yes, I put the "not working" message in there to at least let people know something was afoul. It has been proven many times I am not a computer expert, just add this to the pile.

But that message worked fine You could have just posted a new post saying you were having computer problems

Maybe you could repost the question so people know what the question to the answer was, seen as the whole point of katkwiz is to learn something new.

Yes, of course. I had already paid out the points, announced the winner, and gave the method of finding the answer. Where did they go? I do not know. Then I started fooling around with my computer, The Cat Site, and my posts. And as you say, since the object of this whole idea is to learn, I repeat everything here. Yesterday was very frustrating and embarassing for me.

The question:

The cat's whiskers are the most sensitive of all. The special hairs, called vibrissae, are set deep within the skin and provide the cat with sensory information about the slightest air movement around it

To find the answer:

1. Cat Snips
2. Feline Senses
3. Touch

I am sorry that my opening "debut" went so rotten. Anyway, the above question is the example of questions you can expect in the future. Everything else is covered in the new rules, which you can click on KatKwiz below, (which I also had to rebuild yesterday...)

My broadband was recently out for almost two weeks due to a strike, so I can sympathize.
