Good freeware for making your own ringtones??

I was wondering if any of you knew of a good freeware for making your own ringtones? Like, taking 30 seconds of a song from a CD and then using your USB cord to put it on your phone. I googled, but I want something that will work well and I don't know what to download. Thanks so much for any help!!

Its called Audacity and its really easy to use!
