Okay, I feel stupid, but I can't get the clone feature to work. What do I have to do to take sample from the picture and use it to paint over another part of the same picture?

Ah, never mind, figured it out. For future reference, select the Clone tool, hold Control (Ctrl) and left click to select part of a picture, then just left click to color in.
